The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya coming back from work and saying she is tired. Vanraj says he had a bad day too. She asks Vanraj why he called her, he says he had his interview and she didn’t even call to ask once. Kavya says that she was busy. She complains that she can’t handle work and house, so they should hire a maid. Vanraj says even Anupamaa returned home tired but served Baa and Bapuji. Kavya says she is not Anupamaa and he married her because she was different. Bapuji asks them to not discuss their problems in front of everyone. Kavya says it’s about Anupamaa so they should talk in front of Anupamaa. Vanraj warns Kavya to not back answer Bapuji.
Rakhi enters and says they should hire a maid to end family problems. Anupamaa says that Jhilmil will return in few days. Rakhi says they can remove the maid once Jhilmil returns. Anupamaa says Kavya and Kinjal can hire a maid if they want, but she will serve Baa, Bapuji and the children on her own. Rakhi tells her if she is stuck at school, Kinjal will have to work in the kitchen. Anupamaa says Toshu and Kinjal can take care of themselves while she will look after Baa, Bapuji, Samar and Pakhi. Kavya says she will definitely hire a maid and will pay for her if they can’t afford it.
Kinjal says Kavya can hire a maid but she and Anupamaa will manage. Kavya says if they want to overexert themselves with work it is their choice. Anupamaa says getting work done by a maid is also difficult, she needs to be explained about each and every member’s need. Kavya says she manages many people in the office. Anupamaa says it will be great if she will start using these skills at home. Baa gets angry and walks away. Bapuji asks her what’s wrong. Baa says Kavya decided to hire a maid without seeking her permission. It’s been two days since she came into this house and already became boss. She says Anupamaa was the right bahu who would respect her.
Anupamaa comes and tells Baa that if she wants respect she should also give it. She says Baa wants Kavya to give her the respect of mother-in-law when Baa doesn’t treat her as a bahu. Baa tells Anupamaa to stop taking Kavya’s side. Later Samar comes into Anupamaa’s room and shows her light decorations, she gets happy and they start dancing. Vanraj sees their joy and gets happy. Anupamaa comes near him and advises him to be strong and not lose hope, he smiles.
