The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa praying to God for Kinjal as it is her first Vrat Poornima. She remembers when she used to keep fast and the whole family would care for her. She thinks that they only leave behind memories. Kinjal tells Toshu it is their first Vrat, so he shouldn’t make any mistakes. Toshu says he won’t or else Baa will scold him. He praises her saying she looks beautiful and they take selfies together. Anupamaa decorates pooja thali to break fast. Samar and Pakhi help her. Pakhi says that she won’t decorate Kavya’s thali. Anupamaa says they will decorate her thali as well as she is fasting for their father. Kavya gets ready and asks Vanraj how she is looking. Vanraj compliments her.
Kavya tells him that she is keeping this fast for him. Vanraj tries to get intimate but Kavya pushes him away saying he is sweaty. Vanraj remembers doing the same to Anupamaa. He drinks water. Kavya tells him that she told her family he will keep fast for her. Vanraj says he doesn’t fast. Kavya says she is fasting, so he should do it for her too. Vanraj says she is forcing him and says he is leaving for work. Kavya thinks about what to tell the family. She says she will lie that she stopped Vanraj from fasting as he has to work.
Anupamaa performs Kinjal, Toshu and Samar and Nandini’s nazar. Kavya and Vanraj come down. Kavya tells Anupamaa to perform her and Vanraj’s Nazar as well. Anupamaa tells Kavya that yesterday she was accusing her of putting Nazar on them and now she is telling her to perform their Nazar. Kinjal says she will do it and performs Kavya and Vanraj’s Nazar. Vanraj goes to work. Baa says she feels bad Vanraj will be working on an empty stomach. Kavya says he won’t be fasting as she stopped him. Pakhi tells her to stop lying as she heard Kavya forcing Vanraj to fast while he denied it. Anupamaa tells Pakhi to stop. The family get ready to leave for pooja, Baa tells Anupamaa to attend the pooja as a family member.
The neighbours tell Baa that they shouldn’t perform pooja here as they are breaking the rituals by bringing both their bahus. The neighbours insult and taunt them. Baa and Bapuji tell them that Kavya is their bahu and Anupamaa is their daughter and she is attending like other members. He says if they can’t understand Anupamaa’s relationship with family they should just tolerate it. Baa says that she brought silver gifts for them as she thought they have changed their ways. The neighbours get happy and tell her to perform her pooja. Anupamaa helps Kinjal with the pooja. Kavya slips, Anupamaa holds her and her thali.
