The episode of Anupamaa starts with Baa getting angry at Anupamaa for asking her to accept Samar and Nandini’s relationship. Anupama apologizes to Samar for spoiling his birthday as she thought she will give him a special gift. Anumapaa starts her lecture about fulfilling this dream of hers. Baa gives her the engagement ring and tells her to fulfill her dream or her lecture will not stop. Anupamaa and Samar get happy and hug. They all hug Baa. Baa says that they respected elders by waiting for their approval and didn’t do what they want, so she appreciates it. Nandini says despite their differences one thing that is common between them is love for family. Baa blesses Samar and Nandini. Vanraj also happily approves of their relationship and blesses them.
Anupamaa asks if Kavya has any objection as she belongs to both bride and groom’s side. Kavya yells at Anupamaa that she remembered her at last. She says that they had a problem as Nandini couldn’t become a mother and they accepted her all of a sudden. Bapuji says it’s good that opinions change. Kavya asks them why can’t they accept her. Bapuji says they have accepted her. Kavya tries to argue but Vanraj tells her to just give her answer. Kavya says she approves. Anupamaa thanks Baa for accepting the relationship. Baa says she is happy that the children respected her. The family celebrates Samar and Nandini’s engagement.
Kavya asks Anupamaa why she sends her husband to bring cake when she usually makes cake herself. Anupamaa says that Samar’s father brought the cake for his son and not Kavya’s husband. She says that a child’s happiness is most important for every parent. Anupamaa says that she craves to be called mummy by her children. Kavya says she is taunting her as she is not yet a mother. Vanraj gives an envelope to Samar. He tells him that he bought a policy for him when he was a child and now as he is matured he is handing it over. Samar says he will use the money to clear Mummy’s hospital loan as he doesn’t want to see her work.
Kavya sees all this and asks Vanraj what he was talking to Samar. Vanraj says Samar’s mother never asks such questions, and asks why she being his second wife she is asking this question. He tells her about the policy he bought for Samar. Kavya yells at him saying the policy money belongs to him and not Samar. Vanraj warns her to not interfere between him and the children. The next morning Vanraj tells Bapuji that he will tell his friend about Anupamaa’s cafeteria idea. Kavya jokes that he took an idea from a 12th pass. Vanraj tells Kavya that she should focus on her meeting as she always makes mistakes.
