The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa getting Kavya on the stage holding her hand. She tells everyone that Kavya was going to perform with Pakhi but she performed instead, but Kavya taught Pakhi dance all these days and was motivating her. Anupamaa says they did not perform the same dance, but Kavya took efforts to teach Pakhi, so even Kavya deserves the award. Pakhi tries to stop her. Anupamaa says Kavya made a mistake, so did Pakhi and they will talk about it later but Kavya deserves the respect as she is Pakhi’s Guru too. Bapuji says Anupamaa is everyone’s Guru. Everyone claps for them.
Later at home, Pakhi keeps the trophy in the temple and everyone looks at Kavya. Kavya says she can explain every one. Vanraj says no one asked her to explain. Kavya says she will explain before everyone puts the entire blame on her. Vanraj asks what was important to her more than Pakhi’s dance. Kavya says she had to attend a telephonic interview and that was important to her more than Pakhi’s performance. Baa says for every family their kids’ performance is very important than any other thing. Kavya says for her, her job interview is important as the cafe and dance academy can get closed anytime and to handle the expense, she needs the job.
Kavya says Pakhi’s dance was just a small performance and not some big competition that was important for her. Vanraj tells Kavya that Pakhi’s dignity in school might have get spoiled. Kavya asks Vanraj why he is creating issues for such a small topic. Toshu says this family has the habit of creating issues all the time. Toshu says that he is tired of his family’s behaviour and that they create drama on every small topic.
Vanraj asks Toshu to be clear. Toshu says that they have been living in a good society for so long, but his family always behaves like illiterate people and embarrass him all the time. Toshu says in this family when someone tries to grow, the family pulls that person down and doesn’t let them complete his dream. Vanraj says he always gave whatever Toshu asked for, better classes and whatever things he asked for. Toshu says he will return Vanraj all the expenses he did with interest.
Vanraj gets angry and asks Toshu to return his parents love, Anupamaa’s tears, care and Vanraj’s hard work. Toshu asks Vanraj to think practical. Toshu then yells at Baa, Bapuji and Mamaji. Toshu says he cannot get his friends home as he gets embarrassed when his friends see his family’s illiterate behaviour.
