The episode of Anupamaa starts with Vanraj and Anupamaa having a heated argument about Toshu leaving the house. Vanraj says they can’t let Toshu leave as Baa and Bapuji won’t be able to take the pain. Anupamaa says they can’t force him to stay or else this house will become a cage for him. One who leaves the nest returns and not the one who leaves the cage. She says they will have to learn to live without their son. Pakhi and Samar plead with Toshu to not leave. Samar apologises to Toshu on behalf of all family and begs him to not leave. Toshu tells them to let him go. Samar and Pakhi both think that this time Toshu will not listen to them. Anupamaa says Toshu and Kinjal might not leave the house smiling but they have to bid them farewell with happy faces.
Kinjal tells Nandini that she doesn’t want to leave the house as she always dreamt of having a family. She says that now her dream will be shattered. Anupamaa and Vanraj walk into Pakhi’s room and see her sleeping with her trophy. They ask her if this is her new teddy and say they came to discuss an important issue. They tell Pakhi that children feel that their parents don’t give them space so they are ready to give her the space she needs. But if she misuses it and disrespects they will send her to the hostel. Pakhi remembers misbehaving with Anupamaa and feels bad. She feels guilty that she only thought about her friends and not family. Anupamaa and Vanraj leave after telling her to sleep.
Vanraj and Anupamaa say that now they have to handle Toshu and their 20 lakhs tax bill. They smile at each other assuring they will get through it. The next morning Toshu and Kinjal walk downstairs with their suitcases. Anupamaa performs their aarti, Vanraj joins as well. Toshu and Kinjal take Baa, Bapuji, and Mamaji’s blessings. Kavya wishes them all the best for their new journey.
Toshu and Kinjal take Anupamaa and Vanraj’s blessings. Anupamaa tells them to take care of each other. As Toshu heads towards the door Kinjal says goodbye to him. She says that to leave this house she needs to pack all the memories and she needs time to do that. Toshu tells her to not do this. Kinjal says she can’t leave this house right now as she needs time. Bapuji says they both should go out or stay here until they make up their mind. Toshu says he can’t live here anymore, Kinjal says she cannot leave this house.
