The episode of Anupamaa starts with the family celebrating Raksha Bandhan. Baa tells Kavya to tie rakhi to Kanhaji. Anupamaa ties rakhi to Bhavesh and Sanjay, Kinjal ties to Samar, Nandini ties rakhi to Toshu, and Dolly to Vanraj. After it’s done Kinjal ties rakhi to Anupamaa saying she is her protector as she protected her from Baa’s taunts, mom’s adamancy, Toshu’s childish behaviour and Dholakia’s evil eyes, and taught her how to fight with the world. Baa says she is right, Anupamaa did a mistake but corrected it on time. She ties rakhi to her as well. Bapuji says this is the real Raksha Bandhan. The whole family clicks pictures together. Anupamaa hopes that the family doesn’t get to know the price she paid for their happiness.
Rakhi comes in frightening Anupamaa. Anupamaa asks what is she doing here. Rakhi greets everyone and says it’s Rakhi day so she had to come. Baa says her day is on Nag Panchami. Rakhi says this is her house as well so she can come anytime. Kinjal comes and hugs Rakhi. She says Kinjal didn’t want to move, so she has made this her house. Anupamaa gets tensed with Rakhi’s behaviour. Vanraj notices her nervousness. Vanraj tells Anupamaa that he knows she has taken a loan from her friend Devika. He says he doesn’t like Devika but he understands her situation so it’s better to take money from her than closing down the factory.
Anupamaa thinks Vanraj has a problem taking money from Devika, what will he say when he realised Rakhi is the one who gave them money. Kavya asks Rakhi why she is so happy today. Rakhi says it’s her day today. Kavya asks what she is planning to do today. Rakhi says she just came to meet her daughter and this house is hers as well. Later Rakhi comments how she will change the wall colour and Baa’s old swing. Baa yells at her saying it’s her house and she shouldn’t dare to do it.
Rakhi and Vanraj get into a heated argument after Vanraj mistakenly drops juice on her phone. Rakhi shouts at him for spoiling her phone which contained important business documents. Vanraj says he didn’t do it on purpose. He tells her she can throw coffee on his cafe table tomorrow. Rakhi insults him, Vanraj tells her to not shout in his house. Rakhi says it’s her house. Anupamaa gets worried hearing that. They keep on arguing, Rakhi calls Vanraj a broken person. He retaliates by saying Rakhi is an example of money can’t buy class. Rakhi says Vanraj doesn’t have money but grass and is talking about class.
