The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya telling Vanraj that she knew Anuj was handsome but didn’t know he was so charming. Vanraj thinks about how Devika told them that college’s most handsome boy was behind Anupamaa. Kavya says Anuj is so rich, still didn’t have an attitude. She asks Vanraj if he is thinking if Anuj is Anupamaa’s friend they can ask him to make the kharkana deal. Vanraj says Anupamaa and Anuj are classmates and not friends. Kavya says it’s the same thing. She says they should meet with Anuj through Anupamaa. Vanraj says they won’t as Anuj looked too good to be true and was even over smart. Kavya asks if he is jealous, Vanraj tells her to stop talking about Anuj. Devika asks Anuj why he didn’t drop Anupamaa. Anuj says she denied it, he says she would have even denied it during college. Devika says there must be some hope as Anupamaa is without love for 26 years and even he has not found anybody. She says they both don’t belong to this world.
Anuj asks Devika about the kharkana issue. Devika tells him about the 40 lakh loan that Anupamaa’s family has to pay. Anupamaa comes home, Kinjal and Pakhi ask if Anuj is her friend. Kavya says yes as she and Vanraj saw them together. Samar and Baa ask why she didn’t inform them before. Anupamaa says she didn’t know. Kavya says she was closely dancing with him and should inform if there was something between them. Anupamaa says she was dancing with everyone. And she is not hiding anything as she doesn’t feel dancing with friends is wrong, just like Vanraj and Kavya hid their affair for 9 years. Later Kavya asks Pakhi what did Devika tell them about Anuj and Anupamaa. Pakhi says she doesn’t remember. Kavya thinks there must be something as even Vanraj is acting groggy.
Anuj comes home and his father scolds him for coming early. He says he shouldn’t return from a party before 5 am. His father tells Anuj to find a girl and marry as he wants to see him married before he dies. Father and son joke around. Anuj relaxes with a smile. His father asks if he met Anupamaa and is thinking about her. Anuj says she is not thinking about him. He shows his father the video from the party and says he can’t believe Anupamaa danced with him. Anupamaa at home dances in her room and thinks she enjoyed herself a lot at the party. Vanraj asks Kavya why she praises Anuj a lot. Kavya reminds him that the Rakhi deadline is coming near and they should use Anupamaa’s friendship with Anuj to sell their kharkana.
Devika calls Anupamaa asking if she reached. She asks her why she left the party so early. Devika says she and Anuj are the same as even he left the party early. Anupamaa asks Devika if she had food, Devika replies even Anuj didn’t have food. Anupamaa says she is feeling sleepy now, Devika says even Anuj was feeling sleepy. Anupama asks if she is mentioning Anuj just to pull her leg. She says she doesn’t want to be friends or make any business with him, Vanraj hears it. Anuj thinks he waited for Anupamaa for 26 years. Now she is in trouble and he can help her.
