The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anuj serving snacks to the family. Kavya asks why is he serving them. GK says because they are his guests. Kinjal offers to help Anuj but he tells her to sit. Samar tells Nandini that someone is serving mummy for the first time. They all taste the food and praise it saying they want to meet the chef. GK says Anuj prepared the food. Everyone is amazed hearing that. GK says he learned cooking from Anuj’s mother and when Anuj got older he taught him. Samar says mummy and Anuj both are great at cooking. He says he saw a guitar in his house. GK says Anuj plays the guitar sometimes. Samar exclaims that Anuj can cook, play the guitar and also is a shayar. He says Anuj is his role model from now on. Toshu and Vanraj enter Anuj’s house. Vanraj hears what Samar said and remembers Samar saying he won’t call him papa from now on. Vanraj gets angry.
Kinjal says Anuj is cool even being in the ’40s. Pakhi says super cool and the best. This angers Vanraj even more. Pakhi says she saw a hockey stick outside and asks if he plays hockey as well. Anuj says he would use it during college days to scare away boys who would bully girls. Pakhi says that’s so cool. Kinjal says Anuj is still fit and can beat 3/4 people. GK says Anuj is good at arm wrestling too. He asks Mamaji if he wants to arm wrestle with Anuj. Mamaji says his arm is paining. Vanraj says his arm is not paining and is willing to compete with Anuj. Anuj tells him to not pay attention to GK. Toshu asks if he got scared as people usually get scared seeing his papa. GK says Anuj will fight as it’s a matter of his dignity, Anuj agrees.
Toshu and Kavya cheer for Vanraj while Samar and Kinjal cheer for Anuj. Anuj overpowers Vanraj and then Vanraj overpowers him. Vanraj says he has never lost till now. Anuj says even he has a hobby of winning. Vanraj says it will change now. Anuj replies old hobbies don’t change. Vanraj says he will be glad to be the one to change it. Anupamaa gets tensed and turns around. Anuj noticing it lets Vanraj win. He tells the children if they would have warned him that their papa is so strong he would have competed with Shayari. GK says Anuj tried but Vanraj won, Vanraj says he always wins. Anuj informs Anupamaa that they have to leave for Mumbai tomorrow to attend the training and functioning session. Bapuji says when work calls she needs to go.
Baa asks why they need to go to Mumbai when the project is in Ahmedabad. Anuj replies they cook food in the kitchen but have to step out to get vegetables. Toshu says Mummy won’t go. Anuj says his mummy is mature and can take decisions for herself. He asks Anupamaa if she will come along or shall he book tickets for himself. Anupamaa says in a short time she has to learn a lot, so will come. Shah family leaves the house. Anuj tells GK it is just a flight journey for him tomorrow, but for Anupamaa it’s a big hurdle. Anupamaa reaches home and gives medicine to Bapuji. Baa snatches the box from Anupamaa and says she can go on vacation while she is here to take care of her husband.
