The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa offering a Bhoomi pooja invitation card to Baa. Vanraj checks the card and wrongly reads the name as an invitation by Anupama Anuj Kapadia missing the and in between. Vanraj yells how dare Anuj printed his name with Anupamaa and says he has a cheap vision. Anupamaa says his eyesight is weak that’s why he missed the and in between their names. Vanraj says now their names are on the same card, tomorrow they will be together. Anupamaa says he is jealous that the name that was hidden under his name has resurfaced and is beside another person’s name. Anupamaa informs Baa they have to leave at 9 am tomorrow and she will finish all the household work before. Baa tears the card saying if she wants her to come when the invitation card has her name with a stranger. Anupamaa says it’s not a personal card that she will have her own name but it is a partnership card.
Baa asks Anupamaa if she will be going, to which Anupamaa says yes. Bapuji tells Baa that if it was her son who would have been offered the partnership she would have been happy. She has not accepted Anupamaa as her daughter from the heart. Anupamaa picks up the torn pieces and tells Baa that she will wait for her at 9 am. Baa orders that no one will attend the pooja. Bapuji says he will, followed by Mamaji, Kinjal, Samar, and Pakhi. Mamaji tells Baa that respect is lost with one’s deeds and she shouldn’t do anything to lose her respect. Baa yells at him. Kavya provokes Baa and Vanraj saying they should be getting used to seeing Anuj and Anupamaa’s names together. As Anuj may soon propose Anupamaa and they will receive a wedding invitation. Vanraj yells at her to stop.
Anuj while eating halwa says there must have been a big drama at Anupamaa’s house. GK tells him to stop eating as he is getting fat. Anuj says he can’t stop as Anupamaa’s food is so tasty. GK says a husband gets happy after eating his wife’s prepared food. Anuj says he has started to feel happy lately and hopes Anupamaa is happy too. Anupamaa tries to cheer herself saying new journey faces turbulence and soon everything will be alright. The next morning Anuj prepares for Pooja. GK jokes with Devika. Anuj tells him to not joke today as Anupamaa’s family will be there too. Anupamaa comes with family. They all greet each other. Pakhi says Anupamaa and Anuj have colour coordinated their outfits. Anupamaa says their clothes and business are the same. Anuj asks for a selfie with her as the media wanted pictures of both partners, Anupamaa agrees.
At home, Baa tells Vanraj to do something. Vanraj says he won’t spoil his mood by attending the pooja. A Courier man gives Vanraj a letter. He reads the letter and angrily says she shouldn’t have done this. Samar thanks Anuj for giving his Mummy so much respect. He says his mummy is most important to him in this world. Anuj says even his Mummy was important to him. He says they are just a means, Anupamaa has paved the way for herself. Samar asks him to promise that he will always support her, Anuj says he will. Kinjal thanks Devika for being a supportive friend to Anupamaa. Devika jokes everyone needs a boring and knowledge throwing friend like Anupamaa. Anuj and Anupamaa sit for the pooja together. Vanraj, Baa and Kavya enter and get jealous seeing Anupamaa and Anuj performing pooja together.
