Samar requests that Anupamaa sign the paperwork. Anupamaa inquires as to what it is. Samar claims that she is submitting a passport application because she may be required to attend overseas exhibitions. She remembers her first passport mishap. Samar inquires if she has a passport, joking that she would need one to visit grandma/house. naani’s Anupamaa advises going to America. Samar is ecstatic, asking why she didn’t go and where her passport is now. She adds that her dreams expired, even her passport expired. Samar claims that, like her new fantasy, she will receive a new passport. She claims that one must recall ancient memories. Let us begin Samar’s pre-wedding customs, she says joyfully.
Dolly and Kinjal strike a shagun deal. Anupamaa double-checks. Kinjal says they did it according to what she taught them and asks Anu whether they did it correctly. If they’ve already conducted the shagun ceremony, why are they doing it again today? Kinjal claims Hasmukh told her it was simply the start of the pre-wedding rituals, and the wedding was arranged on the spur of the moment. According to Hasmukh, the wedding will begin only after this rite; during this ritual, the girl’s father and family would visit the boy’s residence, do his tilak, and give him shagun to finally fix the wedding. That, according to Samar, implies the wedding rite will begin at full pace. Anu takes a step back.
Leela is angered by their happiness and dials her mother’s number. Bapuji chants Bolo Krishna Kanhaiya Lal Ki Jai and reminds everyone that they are free to depart at this time. Sanjay has an important appointment tomorrow, so Dolly informs Anupamaa that he will be unable to attend the pre-wedding ceremonies. Anupamaa claims that she understands the job need, and that Bhavesh did not receive leave from his employment. Leela teases that the first ceremony needs 4 men, they are only 3, therefore it will be incomplete without Sanjay or Bhavesh. Hasmuk and his team stand startled. Leela claims that they are unable to enlist the help of a stranger to complete the ceremony. Kanhaji, according to Samar, would be the fourth man. Leela claims that Kanhaji’s blessings would always be with them, and that the procedure will require four men. Vanraj walks past and remembers his first pre-wedding rite when he sees shagun things. He believes he should have known this would happen, which explains why he is upset; if everyone feels jealous when their ex moves on, etc.
Anuj prepares Shahs’ munchies. Devika teases him while recording his video to upload on social media. Anuj claims that he must hurry because his family is on their way. Devika refers to her in-laws. He claims that if Anupamaa considers his family to be hers, why can’t he consider hers to be his? He claims that because Anupamaa does not have a mother-in-law, she should treat her like one, otherwise Anupamaa will become spoiled. Devika claims that Anupamaa and Anuj can never spoil and that every daughter and son should be like Anupamaa and Anuj. Anuj hugs Devika fiercely and adds that every friend should be like her. Leela advises Shahs not to look at her son because he will not be there at the rituals. Hasmukh slaps her across the face for interfering with their enjoyment. Leela counters with a counter-argument. Anupamaa pulls them aside and tells them that they may execute the ritual with just the three of them and JK. Leela claims that JK is from the groom’s family and that the taunts ritual will be ruined with only three guys. Anupamaa gives Samar Hasmukh’s medicine, tells Pakhi not to eat too much fried food, and tells Kinjal to look after herself, among other things. Hasmukh believes that a mother will always be a mother, but that her ritual will be unfinished.
It’s fine, Annu replies, but enjoyment shouldn’t be partial. When Paritosh joins them, everyone is taken aback. Hasmukh teases Leela about Kanhaji sending a fourth man. Leela and Vanraj have a frown on their faces. Anuj prepares for the pre-wedding rite by liberally applying deo. Malvika and Devika tease him, telling him that if he doesn’t talk to Anupamaa’s family today, he won’t have any more time. Anuj is trembling. The Shahs enter the room. Mamaji joked that they ended up at a perfume factory by accident.
Anuj is being pointed at by Malvika and Devika. GK extends a warm welcome to them. Anuj greets Pakhi and is taken aback when he sees Paritosh. Toshu’s wrongdoing was brought to Malvika’s attention, and she was fired as a result. Anuj expresses his gratitude and waits for Anupamaa. Hasmukh claims that the girl does not participate in the ritual. Anuj becomes concerned about Anupama when he realises she is alone at Shah House with Leela and Vanraj.
Leela is served tea by Anupamaa. Leela begins to spit venom once more. Anupamaa threatens her that if she curses her again, she would not remain silent. Baa has a frown on his face. Devika video contacts Anupamaa and tells her that her wife will not begin the ceremony without her, so he should just stay on the line and observe. Anuj and Anupamaa exchange shy greetings. Kinjal and others are yanking on their legs. Anuj inquires as to how the rite is carried out. Bapuji is the next to pull his legs. Anuj becomes agitated. Dolly insists that if he wants to marry, he must tolerate all of this. Anupamaa instructs Anuj to be cool. Anuj declares that he is prepared for all of the rites.
