Samar, Prachi, Kinjal, and Toshu talk about how much fun it was to do Anuj’s tilak ceremony. Vanraj approaches them with trepidation. Kinjal summons him. He claims he came to get a phone charger and tells Toshu that he did the right thing by going to Anuj’s residence. Kinjal asks if he has anything to say. He walks away after saying no. Samar claims that he does not understand Mr Shah, that he had a problem with mummy, and that he is now acting melancholy. Kinjal says it makes him sad to see his ex-girlfriend marrying someone else after they were together for 26 years.
Mr Shah cannot bear seeing mummy happy and cannot tolerate someone else caring for her, according to Samar. Kinjal claims that they are more of a problem than mummy since papa is envious of Anuj and fears that he would kidnap his children. Pakhi inquires if they are a snack packet that has been stolen. It’s a serious discussion, according to Toshu. Kinjal claims that addressing papa is not Anuj and Anupamaa’s problem, but rather theirs and that they must comprehend and deal with it. Pakhi and toshu are papa’s favourites, according to her, and she understands his feelings well. She goes on to explain that people are looking forward to ruining mummy and Anuj’s wedding, so they should make sure there are no obstacles in their way.
Hasmukh instructs Anupamaa to immerse her hand in soapy water. She inquires as to why. He explains what he’s talking about when he says it’s called a manicure. She claims that women’s hands begin cleaning with utensils and move on to combining masalas and other tasks. He chuckles. She inquires as to why he is acting in this manner. He claims that when a mother fails to fulfil her responsibilities, the father takes over. He feels nervous when doing her manicure while watching a video. She becomes anxious and inquires whether he is okay. He lies about having acidity because he ate oily and spicy food at Anuj’s residence. She chastises him and wonders how Anuj could have let him have it. He claims to have them hidden.
She chastises him for his irresponsible behaviour and inquires about his plans for her sangeet. Hasmuk is uneasy once more, but he acts anyhow. Leela approaches them and insults Anupamaa, saying that even though she is wearing a new engagement ring, the old mark on her finger will never fade because she was married to Vanraj for 26 years. Anupamaa responds appropriately, saying that the agony has departed her life and that the mark would follow suit shortly. Leela becomes enraged when Hasmukh also responds appropriately. She then attempts but fails to stop Hasmukh from doing his manicure and walks away frowning. Hasmukh explains to Anupamaa why Anuj is picking her up tonight. Hasmukh is adamant about not revealing the reason.
Anupamaa prepares for her date with Anuj. In a taxi, Anuj arrives. Kinjal requests that he send her mummy off securely and make sure she is comfortable, among other things. Anuj accepts the offer and departs with Anupamaa. Kinjal believes that while some dreams take time to come true, Anuj will provide her with the happiness that Anu has always deserved but has yet to receive. Anupamaa is blindfolded and taken to a diamond jewellery store by Anuj. After that, he blindfolds her. Anu is taken aback when she discovers herself in a jewellery store. Flowers are showered on her and she is greeted by salesmen. Anu is apprehensive. Anuj makes her feel at ease and tells her that she can choose her engagement ring. Following that, he delivers an emotional monologue.
Anuj is overcome with emotion. Anuj tells her not to cry and asks her to choose the ring. The salesman displays her rings. Anupamaa recalls her mother urging her to stay wearing her first engagement ring despite her dislike for it. She takes a step back, teary-eyed.
The engagement ring that Samar, Toshu, Pakhi, and Kinjal bought for Anuj is examined by Samar, Toshu, Pakhi, and Kinjal. It’s a really simple ring, according to Hasmukh. They justify themselves by claiming that the ring was chosen by Anuj himself. Samar maintains it in her home temple and asks Kanhaji to bless and guard it. Vanraj keeps a close eye on him. Anu exits the showroom. Anuj inquires whether he made any errors. She praises him for all he has done for her, recalling selling her mother’s treasures and purchasing a diamond ring for Kinjal. She then goes on to provide a long moral gyaan on women’s love for jewellery and their desire to acquire it, among other things. She claims he completed the process, which she had no guts to see.
