Anuj tells Anupamaa that girls make the mistake of shielding their dreams with the shield of truth, forgetting that diamonds are nothing in front of them, that they are precious and cannot be priced, that even 1000 diamonds are nothing in front of a middle-class girl, and that even the moon appears dull in front of them. Anupamaa is enthralled. Let us leave, Anuj urges, or he’ll lift her and take her back to the jewellery showroom. She timidly takes his hand in hers. He examines her ring finger for a ring mark. Nothing, she claims, can hide this ancient mark today, according to Baa. Anuj claims that there is no need to conceal, that her past is a part of her and that she would be incomplete without it, that it is a part of life that cannot be separated, and that he has no issues with her past, and so on. She is emotional and weeps. Why can’t boys accept girls with their past, he asks, yet girls can accept boys with their past?
He takes her back into the showroom and shows her a variety of diamond rings. In the background, the song Tumhi Ho Hamari Manzil Mein Love plays. She chooses a basic ring and insists on an extra velvet purse and jute bag, claiming that it is a woman’s birthright. Anuj claims that his mother did the same thing. According to the salesman, every mother behaves in the same way. Anupamaa is further happier when she receives a duffel bag and outlines how she intends to use it. Hasmukh divides tasks and plans weddings with Samar, Kinjal, Toshu, Pakhi, and Jignesh. While working on her laptop, Kavya quietly observes them.
Vanraj approaches her and inquires about her whereabouts and why she didn’t inform Bapuji at least before leaving. She claims to have been on an important project. Mummy has finished her work and is returning home, Samar informed Hasmukh. Leela receives a call from her mother, who informs her that she has purchased a bus ticket and would be arriving soon. She believes Anupamaa’s team has brought darkness into her son’s life and that they should not be joyful since her mother is about to ruin their happiness. Anupamaa returns home and proudly shows her team her diamond ring and duffel bag. Kavya is ecstatic to see a duffel bag. Anupamaa claims that she received it for free. That’s wonderful, Kavya says. Jignesh jokes that “free” is every woman’s favourite word. Samar even claims that if you buy one, you get one free. Boys, according to Anupamaa and Kinjal, will not take gifts. Kavya echoes this sentiment.
Kinjal requests that Anupamaa show him the ring. Anupamaa claims that Anuj took it and will bring it back for the engagement. Pakhi inquires as to who will be willing to wait until then. Anupamaa displays the photograph. Kinjal comments on how lovely it is and shows it to Hasmukh. It’s a diamond ring, according to Anupamaa. Leela inquires if it is a genuine diamond. Anupamaa is lucky, according to Kavya, because it’s a valuable solitaire diamond. Kinjal claims that any woman can have a diamond, but the mummy has a priceless diamond, Anuj Kapadia, with which she will be preserving precious memories for the rest of her life. Pakhi claims that forcing her to choose the ring at midnight is the best middle-class fairytale story, whereas Kinjal claims that this is the best middle-class fairytale narrative.
Vanraj and Leela grimace when they hear their joy, but Anupamaa is overjoyed. Anuj and Anupamaa are looking forward to their wedding tomorrow. Anupamaa claims she has always desired to touch the moon, and now she holds a diamond in her hand. Anuj reads a Shayari aloud. Anupamaa is self-conscious. Vanraj is envious as he lies in bed, recalling Kinjal’s words that Anuj is a priceless diamond. Anuj’s excitement with Malvika, Devika, and GK continue the next morning. He decides to pay a visit to the temple, assuming Anu has already done so and prepares himself. Malvika and Devika are yanking on their legs. Anu prays to god for her and Anuj’s happiness in the temple, saying that he only wants Anuj in her life because no one else can compare to him. Vanraj arrives at the temple and takes a seat next to Anu. Anu is taken aback when he sees him. Vanraj claims he came here to talk about something essential because he didn’t know how she would respond at home.
