Anupamaa is referred to as Anu by Vanraj. Anupamaa corrects him and tells him to refer to her as Anupamaa. He then addresses her as Anupamaa, reminding her that they first visited this temple after their wedding and that they continued to visit it anytime something positive occurred in their lives. Anupamaa said she has a hard time forgetting what happened, so he should focus on being present. He recalls bringing their newborn children here and purchasing his first scooter here. Anupamaa adds details about his promotion, their children’s first day of school, Dolly’s wedding, and so on, before asking if he is happy now. She then exits the room. He tells her not to be angry and invites her to breakfast at her favourite hotel. She emphatically rejects it. She requests and states that she will be Anuj’s fiancee after their engagement and that if he wants to speak with his children’s mother, she can do so with Anuj’s consent. Anupamaa claims that her and Anuj’s relationship is one of equality, with neither of them seeking permission. Vanraj inquires if they are free to leave now. Anupamaa believes she doesn’t trust him, but she will listen to him because it concerns her children and Hasmukh.
When Hasmukh learns through Leela that Vanraj went to meet Anupamaa, he responds. Leela claims that when her son attempts to speak to Anupamaa at home, they all barge on him, so he went out to speak to her. Husmukh inquires as to why Anupamaa’s engagement day is today. Leela informs him that Vanraj would always be the father of Anupamaa’s children. Hasmukh reminds her that Vanraj is an opponent of Anupamaa’s happiness and is concerned about her happiness. Vanraj needed to speak with Anupamaa about something, so she drove her to a hotel. Leela attributes her son’s goodness to the fact that he will give Anupamaa breakfast first and then speak. Leela and Vanraj, according to Hasmukh, first chat with Anupamaa and then create a problem. He cautions her that the meeting should only conclude in discussions.
Kinjal claims that if Vanraj is who he claims to be, why did mummy consent to accompany him. Kavya is taken aback when she hears that. Vanraj never fails to amaze Rakhi when she comes and says for a talk, she heard it, exes went on a date on an engagement day. Kinjal receives a call from Malvika. Rakhi snatches her phone and tells Malvika that Vanraj and Anupamaa had gone on a breakfast date together. Devika wonders aloud if Anupamaa has gone insane. GK claims that Anuj too visited the same temple. Kinjal wonders what Anuj would think when he sees Anupamaa and Vanraj together. Rakhi swears he’ll pass out if he sees them together and acts out a scene.
Anupamaa and Vanraj were seen together by Anuj, who assumed there must be something important going on, thus Anupama accompanied Vanraj. Devika phones him and tells him that Anupamaa told Bapuji that Vanraj wanted to speak with her and had taken her to a hotel. Anuj claims to have already seen them. Malvika inquires if he has spoken with them. He claims he didn’t want to become involved. Malvika claims Vanraj is interfering with their relationship and fears Vanraj may take action. Anuj tells her to relax and reminds her that they are still parents who will have to meet for the rest of their lives for the sake of their children. Devika claims she doesn’t have faith in Vanraj. When they trust Anupamaa, Anuj says they shouldn’t be concerned; Anupamaa will manage the situation, and he won’t spare Vanraj if he attempts to trouble her. He requests that they keep their engagement plans in place. Anupamaa informs him that she is with Vanraj because he wishes to discuss something. He believes he knows Anupamaa will not keep anything from him, but he will not forgive Vanraj this time if he does something else.
Vanraj asks Anupamaa if she messaged Anuj in a hotel. It’s none of Anupamaa’s business, she argues. Vanraj recalls their previous visit. Anupamaa advises him to keep listening to the song Woh Beeta Din Yaad Hain.. because she is no longer interested in the past. Hearing about Vanraj and Anupamaa’s encounter irritates Kavya. Rakhi tries to stoke her rage by inciting her to fight Vanraj, and she is urged to make a life-changing decision quickly. Anupamaa informs Vanraj that she remembers him kicking her out of her own house and utterly breaking her down, as well as each suffering he inflicted on her and that she came with him because she is a mother, therefore he should get to the point or else she will leave. He tells her to relax and drink some water. She claims he is doing all of this to keep her from moving on happily in her new life. He claims he tried to stop her before, but she ignored him. She wonders why he’s doing it again.
Anuj considers again that he trusts Anupamaa but not Vanraj, and that if Vanraj tries to undermine Anupamaa’s happiness, he will not be silent this time. Leela is waiting for her mother to arrive and put an end to Anupamaa’s wedding saga. Anupamaa reiterates that she must get to the point or she would go. He refers to her as Anu once more. She reminds him that she prefers to be addressed as Anupamaa. He openly shows his jealousy of Anuj and Anupamaa’s happiness, claiming that he is an ordinary man who cannot see his ex-wife going on in life, that if he were happy in his life, he would be troubled, and so on. Anupamaa suggests that if he is that bad, he should go perform as Ravan in a Ramleela. She attempts to leave. He becomes enraged and yells at her. Life after marriage will not be a fairytale; men will change, and even Anuj and Anupamaa will not be happy for long, and their marriage will end.
