Anuj is the protagonist of the first episode. He has a nightmare. GK says this issue will not be easily resolved; he can live in denial if he wants to. Anuj warns him to be cautious of himself and that he will not allow anything bad to happen to Anu. GK inquires if it is because of Kavya, and declares that he would begin practising dandiya today because it is in his Gujrati blood. Anuj agrees to drive him to the Dandiya event, but he says he won’t bring Anu since he doesn’t want any more trouble in his life.
Pakhi smiles as she walks to school, hugging her parents. Bapuji supports her and promises to publicise the cooking competition in their colony so that women who want to compete can do so. Baa thinks there’s no need because other daughters and DILs might prefer Anuj. Nandini hides, but Anu finds her, and they play hide and seek with her mother as a child, not as an adult, wondering where she is going. Nandini has announced that she will travel to the United States. Nandini claims Rohan will kill Samar if she does not return to the United States; Nandini says they have thought about Samar’s life, so let her leave; he sits next to her and smiles at her, saying, “Let us start over.” Kavya expresses her gratitude and states that she will begin after Navratri. Anu takes her hand in hers and tells her that she will not let her go because she is not only Samar’s but also her mother, and her children are her life. If anyone tries to watch her children, she will enucleate him.
Nandini claims that she has no idea who Rohan’s father is. Anu claims he has no idea who Samar’s father is; but, a man who can fight for no reason will fight the world for his children; thus, they should go and find out. Let’s see what Rohan can do, Anu says. Anu says she won’t tell them right now, but she’ll have to when Samar arrives; she asks Nandini to stay by her side at all times, and she promises she won’t allow Rohan’s shadow to fall on her children.
