The episode of Anupamaa starts with Vanraj making tea for himself. He sees Anupamaa’s picture in the newspaper. He recollects how Anupamaa used to serve him tea.
Kavya comes to Vanraj and says if Vanraj is making tea for them, he can make coffee for her and Pakhi. Pakhi says Vanraj does not have the habit of doing any household work, so Kavya should do all the work.
Kavya says everyone should be self-dependent. Kavya says she does work all day and is not free like Anupamaa to do all the household work. Pakhi says Anupamaa can handle everything, her work and her house at a time.
Kavya and Pakhi argue. Kavya is about to slap Pakhi, but Vanraj holds her hand and warns her not to raise her hand on any of his kids, or he might do something wrong.
Kavya says Anupamaa and Vanraj did not teach their kids how to talk to elders and not to back answer. Vanraj says what Kavya did to Samar the other day and what she did to Pakhi is wrong and she should not do it again.
Later, Anupamaa goes to the award function. She gets awarded for her bravery. Anupamaa searches for Pakhi in the crowd and gets upset as she thinks Pakhi did not come for her award function.
Pakhi watches Anupamaa and her award function hiding behind the tree and cries. She recollects how Anupamaa used to pamper her and how Kavya is rude to her.
Anupamaa sees Pakhi and goes to her. Anupamaa notices that Pakhi is upset, and asks her what happened. Pakhi congratulates Anupamaa, but does not answer her question saying she is late for class.
Vanraj comes and congratulates Anupamaa and gives her the trophy which she forgot on the stage. Anupamaa asks if Pakhi is doing well. Vanraj says Pakhi has adjustment issues with Kavya.
Anupamaa returns home and asks Kinjal to tell Toshu to have a conversation with Pakhi and ask if everything is okay. Kinjal says Pakhi must be feeling lonely as Kavya is all day at work.
Anupamaa worries for Pakhi.
