The episode of Anupamaa starts with Anupamaa reading Vanraj’s letter. He says that he doesn’t know if he is doing the right thing or the wrong thing. He cant take Bapuji’s silence, Baa’s tears and children’s tears. He feels he is being selfish by putting his happiness over family. With the divorce date coming near his dilemma is increasing. He can’t understand if he should be happy about getting married to Kavya or sad because of his divorce from Anupamaa. So he says he is going and needs time to think and understand. Kavya is in panic when Vanraj doesn’t answer her calls. She decides to go and meet him. Nandini stops her by saying that she has already created so much drama, going there is not a good idea. Kavya says that only she can understand her pain, not even Vanraj, and walks away. Nandini says she understands but doesn’t want Kavya to make any impulsive decisions.
Anupamaa comes out of the room, Pakhi asks her where’s papa. She says he ran away and gives the letter to Dolly. Anupamaa says that she has seen a groom eloping from marriage, but has never seen a man eloping from divorce. She says that whenever there were problems in the house he would run to the office when there were problems at the office he would come home. When he had problems with his wife he would go to Kavya when he would have problems with Kavya he would come to me. He always runs away from his problems leaving me alone in the situation. She says that he might not be tired of running but she is tired of seeing tears in her children’s eyes. She says she was trying really hard to keep the family together, but Vanraj wanted to marry Kavya. When he asked for divorce even though she was scared she agreed. But now that everything is going according to his wish he runs away. She says that now everyone will blame her for pressuring her husband for the divorce that he had to run away.
Kavya comes towards Vanraj’s house, saying he can’t hide from her. Dolly says Bhai did wrong by running, Samar says your Bhai always does things that hurt others. Anupamaa says that we have to find him and tell him that he can’t always keep running from problems. She tells Samar to call his old office friends, she asks Dolly to call relatives and friends. She tells Samar to call Nandini and asks her if Kavya knows where he is.
Kavya enters asking for Vanraj. Anupamaa says that he has left uninformed. Kavya panics and collapses yelling where is Vanraj. Anupamaa makes her sit and tells her to calm down. Kavya starts blaming Anupamaa saying that she has sent Vanraj away to end the divorce issue, and in a while, even she will also disappear. Anupamaa says that she is marrying a careless person and she should get used to it. She says that she wants divorce at any cost. Anupamaa tells Kavya that instead of blaming her they should look for him. Dolly gives the letter to Kavya and says this will answer your questions. Dolly says that Bhai did not run away but went somewhere to find peace from Kavya.
