The episode of Anupamaa starts with Dr Advaith offering a flower band to Anupamaa and flowers to Nandini. He asks Anupumaa how she is feeling, she smells the flower band. He tells her that if patients get well with flowers then what will doctors like him do. He tells her that she has to do a thing. He cracks a joke and Anupamaa laughs. He tells her that that’s what he wanted her to do. Nandini says that Anupamaa can laugh at home also. Dr Advaith says that her mind needs a smile but her body needs treatment. He tells her that she should start taking care of herself more often. He tells her she should be free like him. Anupamaa says that a man breaks all the bonds to get moksh but for women keep all the bonds is attaining moksh. He says she is right and he can never argue with a mother. He goes to get her medical report and tells her to take care of herself.
Advaith reads Anupamaa’s medical reports. Vanraj asks him if everything is alright. He says he has to read all the other reports as well to confirm. Advaith says if there is something serious he shall inform him and leaves with a concerned look on his face. Samar video calls Nandini and asks her where she is, she says she came with Kavya to the resort. He asks her how is mummy and what happened to her. Nandini says that the doctor told them that he will read the reports and tell her condition, and her BP went up because of anger and frustration. Samar says that they never thought about mummy machines stops working after a while she is a human who worked continuously for twenty-five years. He says that from now on he will take care of her. Hearing their conversation Kavya thinks that Samar and Nandini are kids but still they are so mature. They are so sensible and understand each other well, she hopes she and Vanraj had that same understanding between them.
The nurse gives Anupamaa’s reports to Dr Advaith he reads them and asks the nurse to call Vanraj. He comes and asks Doctor if something is serious. Dr Advaith says that the reports are not looking good and Anupamaa has a tumour in her ovaries. Vanraj asks if she will be alright. Advaith says that God gives life and death and doctors just try their best. He says that life is a rented house and says think of it as Anupamaa got her first notice to leave her rented house. Vanraj is shattered, Samar hears their conversation and runs towards Anupamaa’s room, Vanraj runs behind him. Samar falls, Vanraj holds him and asks him to listen to him.
Anupamaa is waiting for the reports, Nandini tells her to rest. She says as a mother she is not used to so much resting. She asks her where is Samar. Nandini says he was worried about her and will come some. Vanraj thinks about Anupamaa’s service in the past life and says that he made a mistake. Samar says he always makes mistakes and mummy suffers because of him. He says that nobody in the family thought about mummy. We all have our friends, colleagues, work, college etc but all mummy had was us. He says that he thought he will work hard and spend time with her after he becomes famous, but he didn’t know that mummy doesn’t have much time left. Vanraj says that they will through this. Samar asks if mummy will be alright. Vanraj holds his leg and cries, he consoles him. Kavya watches this from a distance.
