The episode of Anupamaa starts with Kavya telling Vanraj to hit her with the stone and end here as he won’t end his excuses. Vanraj says that he can’t leave Anupamaa in such a condition. Kavya says that Anupamaa’s illness is not short-lived and if he thinks he will take a divorce after she gets well and it will not happen. She says they can postpone the engagement but not the divorce. He warns her not to give orders to him. He says there is already pressure on the family because of Anupamaa’s illness and engagement, and she can’t pressurize them with divorce. In the cottage Samar and Nandini arm wrestle, Nandini wins. Baa says she remembers why they are here. Anupamaa says that the reason might not be happy but it’s important that they are all together. She says that everyone was busy with their life but the illness has brought them together. She says they should enjoy this time together, Baa smiles.
Vanraj comes in and is happy to see the family together. He imagines he and Anupamaa together and then comes back to reality. He sees Anupamaa dancing with the family and thinks about the divorce date, Kavya’s argument, and says that divorce will affect his family and he has to do something. Nandini messages Samar to meet her. He goes there and she switches on the decorative lights and surprises him. He says he has the best girlfriend. He holds her hands and says mommy is so happy about their engagement, Nandini says she is excited than them. She tells him that they should tell her about the past as she doesn’t want her to know while exchanging rings. Samar says he will think about it later.
Advait thanks the Shah family for inviting him for dinner. They all sit together to have food. Advait asks if they always have food on the floor, Vanraj says only during festivals. Kavya calls Anupamaa Vanraj tells her she can call after dinner. Anupamaa’s lawyer calls her to informs her about the divorce date and Vanraj not wanting to divorce. She calls Vanraj aside, he says he doesn’t want to get a divorce in such conditions, she says but she wants to. He tells her to not be adamant, she says Baa has arranged pooja tomorrow to fix Samar and Nandini’s engagement date, then they will go to court for divorce the day after tomorrow. Vanraj gets tensed.
Samar and Nandini return, Advait says they missed dinner. Sameer says he had no idea he was joining them. Anupamaa comes back, Baa asks her what happened. She says nothing and drops the glass cup. Advait goes looking for Vanraj. Samar helps Anupamaa gather the broken glass pieces. Kavya sees Anupamaa through binoculars and wonders that she will let the divorce happen. She thinks it’s weird how she trusts Anupamaa and her promise more than she trusts Vanraj. Vanraj relaxes on stage and thinks about the situation.
