At the opening of the episode, GK advises Baa that a mother has her home, a wife has her family, and a man has the pride of running the house; therefore, she should not grab her husband’s pride lest he shatters. GK claims to know the kind of father Bapuji sees in Dolly and Anupamaa, as well as the kind of father Baa sees in Vanraj. Why should they worry, GK argues, when this woman is out of her mind and can trash her husband. Anupamaa begs Baa to take out her rage on her instead of Bapuji. Kavya feels it’s a good thing that this oldie is causing havoc before she can take over Karkhana. Baa then tells Bapuji that she will be in charge of her house from now on and that he will simply nod yes to her orders like a puppet, without questioning her or her son’s actions.

He releases his grip and declares that he will not return to that house; what will she do with a living dead body, and there should be no room for him in the house if he is a bad father and husband? Anupamaa claims that being a daughter is enough, and that if a son represents pride and lineage, a daughter represents dignity and life, and that she will welcome Bapuji into her family. Baa is asked by Toshu to stop Bapuji. Anupamaa, accompanied by Anuj, lifts Bapuji and declares that she has made mistakes in the past and will continue to do so today, that she will have a house and a karkhana, and that she will be very affluent as of today. However, it will be the poorest country on the planet. Anupamaa claims she can’t bear seeing her Bapuji’s dignity go, and she wants him to reclaim it. Kavya recalls Vanraj’s admonition that anybody who bothers Bapuji while she is away will not be spared, so she must calm Baa and return Bapuji to his house before V returns. Bapuji constantly stresses that a house requires both light and shade, she explains.
