For the Bhai Dooj tika rite, Pakhi summons Samar and Toshu. Baa is disappointed that Dolly will not be able to join them at the event for the first time. According to V’s orders, Kavya believes she must act as a decent bahu. She says happy Bhai Dooj to everyone, but no one responds. She promises to fetch milk for Baa. Anu claims that she is fine, that she is busy at work and hence unable to visit them, that she loves children, and that Baa should take good care of herself. Pakhi will perform papa and Bapuji’s tika today, according to Kinjal, because it is auspicious.

Pakhi notices that everyone is depressed, so she sings Jhola Bahon Ka Aaj Bhi Dona Mujha and dances with Samar and Toshu, performing there, Bapuji’s, and Vanraj’s tika. Vanraj summons Baa outside and informs her that he needs to speak with her about something important; he also informs her that he would not intervene in Kavya’s mistakes and that Anu is welcome to visit them. Bapuji would not intervene in anything, and Baa as a MIL should not misbehave with Kavya as she did with Anu, as per Baa’s wishes and if there is any tussle, let her and the children deal it at their level. She observes a magnet in Anuj’s palm and recalls Bhavesh telling her that she had observed their childhood magnet with Anuj, Bapuji begging her to welcome Anuj into her heart, Samar saying the same thing, and so on. Bapuji declares that he has never spoken before and will never talk again, that Vanraj is his own worst enemy, that his tenacity will lead him to victory, and that he prays to God to guide him in the correct direction. Baa advises him to put his faith in their son.

Vanraj, according to Bapuji, should be concerned about himself rather than other people’s problems. He adores chocolate fudge and declares, “I love you,” praising it so much that he composed his first poem/Shayari for it. Anu claims to be a modern-day Kanhaji, claiming that Kanhaji used to eat butter and that he does as well.
