As the episode starts, Vanraj informs Anupamaa that he will not be changing his mind. He inquires as to why she is upset, suggesting that she live her life and let him live his. Anupamaa claims that while this may occur in other countries where a boy and girl decide to marry and even divorce without the consent of their families, in India, even neighbours’ relatives attend weddings; he claims that there was no love left between him and Kavya until she betrayed him and snatched his house. Kavya, according to Anupamaa, returned it. Anupamaa claims she is demonstrating her humanity and is unconcerned about how others perceive her or refer to her as Mahan.

Anuj becomes concerned about Anupamaa and dials her number. Anuj informs Anupamaa that he is alone with Vanraj and Kavya and wishes them well. She claims she doesn’t want to and is only concerned for her children’s safety, as Pakhi is already traumatised by her father’s divorce. She claims she doesn’t want her children to be afraid of her because they won’t be able to see their father’s divorce. He should give some time with a calm head and if he still believes he wants a divorce, he should discuss it with his family before making a choice.

Kavya expresses her gratitude to Anupamaa. If they don’t understand, Anupamaa threatens she’ll go. Vanraj would not have gone to such lengths, Kavya claims, if she had taught him a lesson. Vanraj himself contacts the cops, stating that he would rather go to jail than bore this woman, and tells Anupamaa once more not to interfere with their relationship. She claims that Kavya attempted suicide once after Mr Shah refused to marry her, and she is concerned that she will do so again, and that one wrong decision will damage her entire family.
