Anupamaa tells Samar that she understands that life is what it is, but she simply wants to emphasise that when a thread tangles, it either entangles or breaks, but when a relationship tangles, a person breaks from within, much as her and Vanraj’s divorce devastated their entire family from within. Anupamaa believes that a connection cannot be simply broken. Samar, on the other hand, claims to have ended her relationship. Anupamaa claims it was never about her and wonders if his and Nandu’s connection is similar to hers and Mr Shah’s; why is everyone pressuring Samar to follow an undesirable relationship, they forced him with Anupamaa before and now with Kavya, he suffocates every day and doesn’t want his son to do the same. He tells Samar that he should be like his mother, who destroyed her cage of an unwanted relationship and went on, but he altered his cage and is still suffering; he shouldn’t establish a relationship that isn’t flawless and not forced.
Anupamaa claims he didn’t realise that every relationship isn’t ideal and that they must try to improve it every day; relationships are made up of people who evolve, break, fall, and rise again, among other things. He cautions her to abandon her philosophy and informs Samar that his marriage may go smoothly for 2-3 days before he feels suffocated and the relationship begins to crack. Vanraj goes on to explain that if he has a problem with this connection, he should end it and start a new one, and if he doesn’t like it, he should end it as well.
