In today’s episode, we can see that Anupamaa informs Malvika that she has come to speak with Malvika about her friend Anuj Kapadia, not Malvika’s brother. Malvika claims that he loved Anupamaa more than her and hence abandoned her for her. Anupamaa claims he didn’t love her, but she abandoned her senses. Anupamaa warns her to slap her and return to her senses, asking if she gave Mr Shah all of her common sense, and if she felt awful hearing about smack, she can slap her if necessary. Mr Shah must have told her that her brother is marrying Anupamaa. Malvika is told by Anupamaa that the entire world can change, but her brother cannot. Anupamaa claims that playing as Bechara/pitiful is the easiest assignment in the world; Mr Shah has a PhD in it and has graduated her; she should quit acting bechari and accomplish whatever she needs to do on her own; she should remember that a hand that can lift her can also push her down.
Anuj has been waiting for her for 26 years, so why would he abandon her so easily? Anupamaa questions why Malvika doesn’t realise that her brother will never abandon her. Baa tells him to be quiet because he is constantly against her son, and she urges Paritosh to back her up. Bapuji agrees with Samar that they should stay here and wait for the news. Anupamaa proceeds to explain to Malvika that everything her brother accomplished was for her; he built this corporate empire for her and is now willing to give up his rights for her. Anupamaa claims that Vanraj has pulled business into his personal life and that he can do anything for his profit; yet, she fails to recognise that her brother can do the same for her. Anupamaa begs Malvika not to leave her brother out of her life, telling her that she can choose Mr Shah but not over her brother since she will be the poorest person on the planet if she does.
