In today’s Koffee With Karan episode, Karan Johar introduces himself as the season’s host and roast. He discusses his affinity for trolls, memes, and the moniker “Big Daddy of the Star Kids.” Because of all the attention people paid to Taimur Ali Khan, the newest superstar in town, KJo accuses the viewers of making the star kids famous. Karan Johan invites Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan with a lengthy introduction. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan enters the program wearing a plain kurta and blue pants. Karan questions Aamir about his decision to remake Forrest Gump, which is regarded as one of the most iconic films and features one of Tom Hanks’ best performances. Aamir Khan tells Karan that Atul Kulkarni reportedly discussed the concept of filming the movie 14 years before during Jaane Tu….. Ya Jaane Na.
Then in Koffee With Karan, they discuss that Kareena wasn’t the team’s first pick to play Rupa because they were seeking someone in the 25–30 age range. Kareena appeared in the advertisement when the casting director played a video of a fresh actor for selection purposes. And then they decided to cast Kareena for the role of Rupa. Karan makes fun of Kareena as she had to go for a screen test for the role, which she has never done in her life before. Karan introduces a new game to Aamir and Kareena called, “Actor trolling Actor.” Where each of them has to answer each other very honestly. Aamir asks Kareena what it is about him specifically that irritates her the most. Kareena answers his urge for perfection.
Later in Koffee With Karan, it’s time for the Rapid fire round. Kareena unanswered the majority of the questions, while Aamir displays his good nature by declining to provide any favorite names. Aamir searches for himself on Google, and we learn that Kareena has no regrets in life. Karan is not satisfied with the answers both of them gave and he says, “I am perplexed, those are terrible answers. This is the worst rapid fire in Koffee With Karan’s history.” Aamir receives the most votes from the jury and is awarded the hamper. The buzzer round follows, and things only get messier. In this round, we learn that one of India’s biggest stars is unfamiliar with the film names of many of the country’s top actors.
Lastly in Koffee With Karan, Aamir and Kareena must call celebrities in the last round and force them to say, “Hey Karan, it’s me.” Aamir facetime Kiran Rao and Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor call Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor. Kareena ultimately takes the lead and wins the round. After her dreadful performance in the rapid-fire round, Karan informs her that she needed to win this round. Karan asks Kareena and Aamir what they value about living in luxury. For Kareena, being able to spend time with family is a luxury. Aamir defines luxury as having the time to be alone. Lastly, they sign the coffee mugs and Karan gives them well wishes for their film, Laal Singh Chaddha.
