Today’s Kumkum Bhagya 9 May episode begins with Pragya (Sriti Jha) coming out to take some fresh breeze. She stands right in front of the cooler. Her pallu moves with the wind and brushes Abhi’s (Shabbir Ahluwalia) face. He turns behind to see who it is, but by then Pragya has walked away from there. Abhi’s friend asks him about the surprise he had at the party.
Abhi remembers about to surprise and asks for the mic. He invites the married couple to dance on a romantic number on their 24th wedding anniversary. They are hesitant at first but agree later on. While he sees them dancing on a slow romantic number, Abhi imagines himself and Pragya dancing together too. The crowd claps after the song is over.
Abhi looks sad that he cannot dance with Pragya anymore. Next up is the youngsters dance. Abhi notices Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar) dancing in the spot in the corner. Abhi tells her to go out and dance with everyone else. He calls Aryan and tells him to take Prachi to dance on the stage. Prachi gives in and follows Aryan.
On the stage she ends up dancing with Ranbir. While dancing Rhea gets jealous seeing Prachi with them too. When the dance is over Rhea moves away because Abhi is favouring Prachi more than her. She meets Pragya who coimpliments Rhea and calms her anger down. Mira sees how quickly Pragya manages to stop Rhea’s anger and is left surprised.
Pragya goes back to the kitchen and Shahana hands over the cooking back to her. While leaving Shahana shuts the door and Pragya gets locked in. She is unable to open to door and asks for help.
