The episode of Kundali Bhagya starts with Sarla performing pooja and asking God to release Karan tomorrow. Srishti mentions that Sherlyn is the reason why Karan is in jail. Sarla says that good people also get into trouble because of bad people. Srishti asks if she started liking Karan. Sarla says she never hated Karan. Few things that Karan did made her angry, but after seeing what he did for Preeta, she can never hate him. Sarla prays that there are no more troubles in Karan and Preeta’s life. Srishti tells her that Karan will be released and everything will happen right. Prithvi is in his room drinking. He thinks about Preeta’s words that she will find the real culprit and free Karan.
Sherlyn enters the room. Prithvi asks why she is here at this time as family members already suspect their affair. Sherlyn says that the way Preeta said Karan will be free from jail is stressing her. She says if Preeta proves that Karan is innocent she will be gone to jail. Prithvi says they have destroyed all the evidence, so she doesn’t have to worry about it. In the morning Rakhi prays to God that he should do some miracle and set Karan free. Preeta comes there to pray too. Preeta thinks that Sherlyn is the real culprit, so she has to prove it in court. She prays that God gives her the strength to do what she has planned.
Sarla and Srishti are ready to leave to the court. Suddenly Sarla feels dizzy, so Srishti tells her to stay back. The entire Luthra family is waiting for Karan. Karan comes and hugs Mahesh, they don’t get to talk much as the inspector comes and tells Karan that it’s time for the court hearing. They all enter the court. Prithvi notices that Preeta is not present. He worries that Preeta might be planning something to find the culprit. Preeta comes and hands an envelope to the lawyer.
The judge comes, Prosecutor says that this is an open and shut case as Karan confessed to murdering Akshay. The defendant says that Karan said that out of emotions to protect Preeta. He says that through these proofs he can prove that neither Karan nor Preeta is the murderer. The defendant seeks permission to present the proof. The judge permits him, Preeta is called in the witness box. Preeta takes an oath to tell the truth. The defendant tells her to speak what she desires. Preeta reveals that Sherlyn is the one who killed Akshay which shocks everyone.
