When Preeta arrives, Shrishti enquires as to why she did this; Preeta responds that she wanted to yell and reveal to everyone that she knows Karan, her husband, will not do anything; she overheard someone say that the wife always defends her husband; even the police inspector said that because she is the wife, she would always defend her husband; she reasoned that if she said that the trust she has in Karan would be valid; she reasoned that if she is certain that the bag was discovered in his car and that someone made a mistake, so she needs to know everything. Shrishti states that she was sitting to watch the match when she learned of the match manipulation scandal. Preeta explains that she must first meet Karan; Shrishti is excited as well, but she will wait until Preeta meets him.
Preeta is walking, and Prithvi is surprised to see her; he greets her as Preeta’s match-fixer Luthra and says he has been waiting for this day since he was in jail; she returned to the Luthra house after two years, telling him she has no interest in the Luthras and only came for the money; she then took control of the entire Luthra business and property, and everything was taken from him. He’d always wondered if the papers she had were true and if she had come to save the Luthras. He wanted it to be the truth because he would have been able to prove they were phoney and reclaim everything, but after her statement, she revealed that Karan is just a business partner for her, which she acknowledged in front of the entire media, and they are both the same in that they only want money. He yells that he informed Karan that when hard times come, close family leave, but she spoiled his mood.
When Preeta asks him to shut talking because she isn’t saying anything, he turns to go, adding that if she saves Karan, his suspicions would be confirmed and he will know she truly loves the Luthras. Karan will undoubtedly be saved by her, not as a wife, but as a business partner, as he is a golden hen for him. Prithvi runs to Karan’s cell, wondering whether he heard what Preeta said about her lack of interest in him. Sameer is with the lawyer, asking him to help Karan. When the lawyer explains that he knows Karan very well but that they do not have any proof, Sameer requests that he help Karan. The lawyer then starts showing Sameer videos of the news channels that are reporting, and the entire crowd says they are against Karan because, according to them, Karan has deceived the entire nation by fixing the match.
Sameer claims he dropped Karan and gave the keys to the valet, after which everything would have happened; the lawyer explains that he doesn’t have any proof, and that this case is now about the emotions of the general public, their trust and love for Karan, and that when it breaks and goes against the country, it’s extremely difficult; Sameer pleads in support of Karan once more; the lawyer says he knows everything, but Sameer must come to meet him next day. Prithvi rushes over to Karan, saying he just wanted to show him the true face of the money-hungry Preeta; she responds that Karan is not an idiot who would believe everything he said, as she knows Karan has an idea behind the reason she made the statement; Prithvi leaves, warning Karan that trusting Preeta this time would be the biggest mistake of his life; Preeta tries to inform Karan when he mentions that he is tired.
The Luthras are watching the news when Prithvi asks why they are watching it when they all know that the only thing these reporters do is create drama even when it is not true because they all know Karan is innocent; he is only concerned about the behaviour that Karan will be subjected to; he knows that the police do not care whether a person is an ordinary person or a celebrity because they only care about their orders; he is confident that Karan is innocent. Sherlin smiles as he considers how Prithvi was correct in that he would once again become nice in the eyes of the luthras because of how they all look at him, but they are unaware that he is the culprit behind everything.
