Prithvi explains that he is unsure of Karan’s condition because he is extremely tense; Rakhi inquires as to what they should do, but he responds that they must trust him because he will take care of everything; he can handle it all because he considers them all to be his family and will not allow anything to happen to them; he is aware that Mahesh is not mentally stable, and the elder son Rishab is also not present, so they are Prithvi reveals that he overheard Preeta tell the press that she doesn’t care about them all, while Karina claims that they’ve all heard and seen everything on the news.
When Prithvi sees Preeta, he invites her to come and say whatever she wants because she always says she cares about the family and wants to protect them, therefore she needs to tell them the truth because they are all willing to listen to her. Preeta sees Rakhi and thinks she’s sorry. She won’t be able to express how she’s feeling because she needs to stay strong. She claims she’s not giving a fake story and that she’s just worried because Karan has been arrested and she has no idea how much money will be spent to get him released; she believes it’s not a profitable deal and that they shouldn’t have let him play. Sameer dials Karan’s number, who is relieved and asks why no one has come to meet him, inquiring if they believe he is behind it all. Sameer recalls Mahesh’s attack and explains that they all have a lot of faith in him; he inquires if Mahesh is okay, and Sameer lies that nothing happened to him.
Karan is concerned about how he got here, as he expected to play but ended up in jail; Sameer suspects that someone is attempting to prevent him from playing again, and Karan states that they do not want him to reclaim control of the Luthra industries. Karan asks for Preeta’s name, which worries Sameer because she can’t do anything like this. Karan responds that he had the same feeling, but she is just interested in money and power. Preeta, as she walks down the corridor, considers Prithvi’s warning, and how he stated that if she tries to defend Karan, he will ruin the entire Luthra family. Preeta enters Mahesh’s room and asks him to wake up because she needs his help because no one is standing beside her. She has lost all her strength even though she promised him that she would protect the family from all evils, but she has failed this time because she does not know who the enemy is and she needs to protect him. Preeta asks him to come with her because she has no idea what to do and they need to save Karan.
Preeta apologises for being weak at times, but she is confident that his blessings are always with her. She vows to free Karan from this trap and expose the true perpetrator. Preeta declares herself to be his daughter and promises to keep this house safe from the enemies; she will not accept defeat and will not allow any damage to happen to this house or family. Shrishti approaches Karan and tells him he is wrong about Preeta; Karan asks them both to name the person who would benefit from his fall; Shrishti tries to explain, but Karan says he will tell them both something for a fact: when he used to play for BCCL, the contract stated that everything he earned from the games would be given to him; Karan says they will think of Prithvi, but Preeta has taken the power of Luthra While all of his commercials and guest appearances will be his property when he is sold for the team this time.
Shrishti is running after Sameer, pleading with him to tell her the real reason Preeta returned to this house and why is he acting so strangely. Sameer responds that he is tense because of Karan because he has never seen such a long downfall in his career and it’s all because of Preeta, which makes her tense and she asks if he believes Preeta is behind it all. Sameer responds that all he wants to do is trust his brother, who told him that he had to trust him for once, and that’s exactly what he’ll do because today was a huge day for Karan, who was supposed to play a match but instead ended up in jail. Sameer breaks down in tears when she hugs him, but he tells her she may do anything she wants because he will support his brother. Sameer gets in the car and drives away while she screams at him to stop because she wants to talk to him; he leaves while Shrishti weeps.
