Preeta encounters Rishabh in the Dubai jail. She does her job as usual. Because of Preeta, Rishabh is ordered to leave. He can’t believe it’s been two years since he’s seen freedom. He expresses his gratitude to Preeta by folding his hands. He weeps joyfully. Preeta comforts him by holding him. She informs him that she had to come and save him because she could never abandon the Luthra family’s backbone. The emotional meeting between Preeta and Rishabh is the turning moment in the story. She says that the entire family misses him and that everyone, especially Karan, needs Rishabh. She also says that Sherlyn and Prithvi will be punished. She invites Rishabh to accompany her home.
Rakhi informs Karan that Preeta is his wife, but that until she cancels their engagement, he would abandon his ruse. Preeta, on the other side, prepares a series of questions to make Sherlyn nervous. She claims that if she asks Sherlyn these questions, she will confess to her misdeeds. Prithvi informs Sherlyn that she will put the same amount of pressure on the blackmailer, making him beg for death. Karan is duped by Natasha’s seductive charm.
When Karan sees them together, he is convinced that Preeta is jealous. Preeta will soon come to him, she asks him to continue the plan. He agrees to the phoney wedding. Natasha informs her mother of the phoney engagement. Navneet warns that this will make her look bad. She simply wants to marry him, even if he doesn’t love her. Navneet compliments her sharp mind. She reveals that Karan adores Preeta, but that she despises him. Preeta is on a different path in life; she is busy, she is doing something significant for the family, and she trusts Karan not to get engaged.
