In Kundali Bhagya, on behalf of Rishabh, Rakhi apologises to the Pandit. After the Pandit labelled their marriage a mistake and shocked them with the assertion that Karan is still alive, Rishabh rushes to meet Preeta and comfort her. Rakhi is assured by Pandit that he is correct and that she should believe that her son Karan will eventually return home. Rakhi and the family become optimistic about Karan’s return. Karan has been living without his memory for five years. He lost his memories and genuinely ingratiated himself into Nidhi’s life. Although Karan had accepted Arjun’s assumed persona, his memory has been positively influenced by the severe head injury.

Then in Kundali Bhagya, accidentally losing his memories, Karan now has them back. He remembers everything that has happened in the past, even how Preeta and Rishabh have tried to kill him. While receiving medical attention at the hospital, he experiences flashbacks. He wakes up by yelling Preeta’s name. When he attempts to leave the ward, Anjali intercepts him and calls him Arjun. Arjun tells that Karan Luthra, not he, is who he is. When Anjali learns that he has his memory back, she is astounded. Finally, Karan appears as Karan Luthra.

Lastly in Kundali Bhagya, Preeta’s second marriage should not have taken place, according to Pandit, as her first husband Karan is still alive. Preeta cries out. To her chamber, she dashes. Preeta is told by Pandit to stop and keep Karan alive in her heart and head because if she misses him, he will return to her through her memories. She should entice Karan back into their sphere, he counsels her. Rishabh queries whether this is drama or if he is making fun of their emotions. He queries Pandit about their reaction to declaring Karan dead. He corrects Pandit. He claims that it took them five years to return Preeta to normal, that they were also in shock, and that the pandit has now forced Preeta back into the same painful area.
