The episode starts with Prithvi locked up in a jail cell with a constable standing guard in front of him. After looking around, Prithvi calls Mr Bhalla from behind, requesting permission for one phone call, but the constable does not listen. Prithvi asks what the problem is because he will return the phone and cannot even snatch it because it is locked up, but the constable warns him to go sit in the corner. Prithvi yells angrily that his condition is due to Preeta, that he curses her and that his curse will ensure that her life is ruined; the constable wonders why he is yelling because it is difficult to stand here. Prithvi declares that today is Diwali and that he wants to rejoice and have fun, and when someone offers him a box of sweets, he exclaims that they have come to their senses. Sherlyn asks him to forget that he is Prithvi Malhotra and that he is just an ordinary man behind the cell door; Prithvi complies, and the two exchange sweets. Sherlyn tells him that she will speak with his lawyer tomorrow and that he will be released; she also explains how she should leave so that no one would know she came to see him. She relates how Pihu was injured during the Diwali celebration and Preeta was chastised for it, and Prithvi exclaims that it all worked out for the best because Preeta had wronged him.
Preeta and Karan enter Pihu’s room while she is asleep, Preeta massages her forehead and apologises to her for injuring her, Karan tells her not to worry as it is a little injury and invites Preeta to come as they should both sleep. Preeta stands but becomes disoriented; Karan tries to catch her and questions what happened; he notices Preeta’s charred hand. Karan summons Ganesh and Rishabh, but no one pays attention. He takes her out on his own as Sonakshi follows them; Sherlyn wonders what has happened because Karan is unaware that Preeta’s condition is due to Sonakshi; what does she have to do with anything?
Preeta wakes up and asks where they are going, Karan replies that he is taking her to the hospital since she is ill and he needs to hear from the doctor’s mouth that she is fine, else he would not be relieved, but Sonakshi is forced to agree even when she does not want to. Preeta insists that there is no need because she needs to return home, but Karan insists on taking her to the hospital. Sonakshi also slows down the car, which worries Karan, and he asks Sonakshi not to listen to anything Preeta says because they are going to the hospital, Karan mentions that he is worried about Preeta and loves her, Sonakshi becomes enraged and purposefully stops the car, Karan warns her that this does not
Karan is in the clinic with Preeta when the doctor arrives and apologises for being late because she went home. Preeta assures him that there is nothing to be concerned about because he is simply being overprotective of her; she was exhausted due to the function’s excessive workload, and even her daughter was injured by the crackers; Karan replies that their daughter is fine, but he no longer trusts Preeta with her health because she does not seem to care about anything; the doctor exclaims that she believes they may receive good news; Karan replies that they do not want to have the pregnancy; the doctor
Rishabh is dozing off. He is awakened by a call on Sherlyn’s phone, and he wonders who this person is, but he places the phone. Sherlyn answers the phone, stating that she is unable to speak with him at this time, Rishabh hears their conversation, Sherlyn is surprised to see Rishabh awake, Sherlyn apologises, stating that the call was from her mother, Rishabh responds that the screen showed Mehta, lawyer, then why did Shelrin lie, she leaves stating that she will return, Rishabh explains that it is possible that her mother called after the lawyer.
Preeta is escorted inside the room by Karan, who asks her to take a seat with care. Sonakshi also assists her, pouring some water for her. Preeta remembers how the doctor said she might be the good doctor who will reveal the news of her pregnancy, Karan responds that she feels glad after irritating her, he inquires as to why she is smiling, Preeta thinks she has no idea why she is thinking that this time the reports will have some positive result, Sonakshi asks them to take some time for themselves while she brings milk for her, but Preeta says she does not want any milk, but Sonakshi asks Karan. Karan asks Preeta what she’s thinking, and she explains that she can’t tell him she’s thinking about the pregnancy because if it’s not what she’s thinking, it’ll hurt his feelings; he also asks her to take care of herself because when she’s not well, it hurts him; he also has a lot of work; Preeta exclaims that he’s never interested in working.
