Sonakshi and Sherlyn easily dupe Karan and the Luthras into accepting their fabricated storey in the first scene. This terrible idea originates in Sherlyn’s head, who requests Sonakshi not to send the kidnappers after Preeta and instead make Preeta’s life a living nightmare. She encourages Sonakshi to phone Karan and cry to convince him that she is in grave danger. She requests that Sonakshi alerts Karan about Pihu’s whereabouts. Sonakshi puts the plan into action and dials Karan’s number. She begs Karan to hurry up and go to the kidnappers’ hideout in time to save both Pihu and her. Karan is undecided about whether or not to believe her, but for Pihu’s sake, he decides to take a chance.
Sonakshi sends Karan and Vinod to a specific area. Sherlyn instructs Sonakshi to act dazed in front of Karan to garner his sympathy. Sonakshi sees Karan approaching. She puts up a show to deceive him. Karan discovers Sonakshi unconscious. He is sorry to see her in pain. Sonakshi demonstrates that she is willing to take a major risk for her daughter Pihu. While Vinod and his men surround the kidnappers, Rajiv kidnaps Karan at gunpoint. After Rajiv establishes that the threat to Sonakshi is real, Vinod saves Karan.
In the meantime, Preeta transports Pihu to the hospital for treatment. She should have taken Pihu home first, then gone to get the aid. Preeta keeps her family in the dark. Here’s where she makes a blunder. Pihu is treated by a doctor who appears to be familiar with her and her mother. Preeta inquires about the doctor’s familiarity with Pihu. The doctor explains that she has previously treated Pihu and that she is always fainting from anxiousness. Preeta inquires about Pihu’s mother with the doctor. What is Pihu’s mother’s name? Is it Sonakshi or someone else you’re looking for?
