Mahesh is brought home. Preeta is looking forward to meeting Mahesh. She informs Dadi that she is pleased, yet nervous about her plan. Mahesh appears at the door. Karan greets Mahesh. Prithvi wants to bring the new drama to a close. Mahesh has a breakdown. Karan assures him that he is with him.
Mahesh is to stay in the good graces of his family, Prithvi goes to appease Mahesh. He tells Mahesh that if he doesn’t want to go to his room, he’ll take him back to the basement, where he feels more at ease. Preeta is adamant about not returning Mahesh. Prithvi requests that she sees Mahesh’s worry. He claims that the basement is his haven. Preeta is against him. She explains that Mahesh was held there for two years, but that he will no longer be held there; instead, he will return to his family and find his true comfort zone. She doesn’t want Mahesh to go back down to the cellar.
Biji informs Preeta that Prithvi is attempting to transport Mahesh to the basement. She asks Preeta to do all it takes to prevent Prithvi from achieving his aim. Preeta resolves to use Prithvi’s old techniques to get him out of her way. She wants Prithvi to have a taste of his own medicine. She scatters marbles on the stairwell. Prithvi enters Mahesh’s room to meet him. He trips over the marbles and falls to the ground. While Kritika and Sherlyn are concerned about Prithvi’s injury, Preeta smiles calmly and triumphantly. She decides to prevent Prithvi from disturbing Mahesh in his chamber.
