The Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 starts with Anant talking to a company on the call about his job interview. The man on the call says that there is no position available for his qualification. Gehna comes and hears the conversation keeps the coffee and leaves. Gehna goes out and wonders that Anant didn’t tell her that he does have a job as she will worry. Kanak tells her to check the grocery list. Gehna says that they use cow ghee instead of branded ghee which is less expensive and healthy. She also corrects that they use 50 rs rice which is as good as 80 rs rice and they buy 15 kg rice and not 20 kg rice. Kanak says they need to buy more rice for prasad. Gehna says they have to buy less as they have a tight budget. Kanak says she doesn’t want to compromise on her first vat poornima vrat. Gehna says God sees devotion and not money.
Kanak then asks if she is worried as Anant has no job, she says she will tell Pankaj and Chetan to pay. Gehna denies it, Kanak tells her that she wants to buy magnetic specs for Bapuji but it’s a bit expensive. Gehna says Bapuji doesn’t need it as he is attached to old things and won’t use them. Anant starts teaching Gehna grammar, he yells at her for not paying attention. Krishna comes and tells he needs Gehna’s help. Anant yells at him for disturbing Gehna while studying. Krishna says that Anant is disturbed and should teach Gehna with a calm mind. He says they took 15 years to study English how does he expect Gehna to learn in 15 mins. Anant tells him that he is crossing his limits
Krishna leaves, Gehna follows him and tells him he shouldn’t have talked to Anant that way. Krishna says he didn’t do anything wrong. Anant walks with marbles and says Krishna is right. He doesn’t have to shout when they can play while learning. He asks Gehna if she can teach him marbles. Kanak shows the grocery list to Baa. Baa asks why the list is less. Kanak says Gehna wanted to save money. Baa says it is the first time all the three bahus are doing vat poornima vrat so they need to celebrate. Sagar comes and says he will record everything in his toy, he plays the edited video of Gehna saying Bapuji doesn’t need the glasses. Baa wonders why Gehna said that. Kanak praises Sagar for his editing skills. She says their plan is successful so far and they will take the next step.
Sagar tells Tia that he loves his new mamma and asks how he can say that in English. Tia tells him, he tells I love you to Tia. He hugs and kisses her and leaves. Jigna yells at Kanak for not watering plants, Baa asks her to not yell at her. Hema says watering plants is Gehna’s responsibility. She shows Gehna leaving with Krishna and says how can Gehna remember about plants when she is so busy.
