The episode of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah starts with Jethalal saying to God that 2020 was a bad year for him. Jethalal then says he will start his day seeing Babita’s face. Jethalal looks in Babita’s balcony when Roshan calls him and gives him New Year’s greetings. Abdul also comes and greets Jethalal. Jethalal then thinks that he won’t be able to see Babita’s face today.
Jethalal is about to go inside when Iyer and Babita return from the temple and call him. Jethalal gets happy and greets Iyer and Babita.
Babita says that they went to the temple to pray for them and all the society members.
Jethalal then asks if they enjoyed going in the temple early morning. Babita says that she feels amazing going to the temple. Iyer, Babita and Jethalal have a conversation and leave.
Jethalal then goes inside his house and gets ready for his work. Jethalal gets a New Year greeting message on his mobile. He comes out of his room, reading the message and clashes with Bapuji.
Bapuji yells at Jethalal for using phone while walking.
Jethalal then apologizes to Bapuji and gives him a glass of water to drink. Bapuji then pranks on Jethalal by scolding him. Same way, Jethalal pranks on Bapuji by getting upset and saying that his full-year will go bad as Bapuji scolded him on the 1st day.
Tapu comes and pranks on Jethalal. Tapu asks 5000rs from Jethalalto go out with his friends. Jethalal says that he will never permit Tapu to go out to roam.
Tapu laughs and says that it was a prank and Tapu-Sena is planning to study in the clubhouse.
Tapu says that their New Year’s start was with fun and hope that they will stay tension free the whole year.
Precap: Taarak says that he will not follow Anjali’s diet plans. Taarak and Anjali argue. Jethalal tries to solve their argument.
