Today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18 July episode starts with Kartik (Mohsin Khan) missing Naira (Shivangi Joshi) and talking to her photo. He told her that he could never give her place to anyone. Kairav found Naira dancing. She danced to vent her pain out. Kairav thought she was very happy to meet Kartik in Udaipur and that was why she was dancing. He recorded a video and thought to share it with Kartik. Kartik failed to see the video, because of Vedika, who interrupted at the same time. He didn’t understand anything. Dadi told Kartik and Vedika that Pandit had given the marriage date. She told Vedika that they would start preparing for the marriage right away. Kartik missed to see Naira in the video. He worried when Dadi got tired again. He asked her to take rest.
He called a doctor for her check up. He wanted Dadi to get fit and fine so that she could dance in his marriage. Dadi told him that she would not die until she saw his son. Dadi made Vedika wear the ancestral bangles. She blessed Kartik and Vedika. Kartik got in a dilemma by Dadi’s new wish of a great grandchild. Kartik was sad while everyone gave him best wishes. Vedika found Kartik sorrowful and was unhappy too. Akhilesh wondered if Naira was informed about Kartik’s remarriage. He wanted to leave the decision on Naira, so that she returned to them or prefered to stay away with her son by her own wish. He felt he had done his duty by informing Naira. Kartik imagined Naira, who asked him to move on by forgetting her. Kartik got stressed. He didn’t know how he would forget Naira. Naira danced in anger and got hurt. Kairav asked her to take care of herself. He told her that they would go to Udaipur until she got fine. Naira got emotional and apologized to him. She called off her plans and made an excuse of the foot injury. She told her friend that Kartik moved on and now she shouldn’t hold him back. She wanted to move on as well. She cried seeing Kartik’s picture and thought to free Kartik for once and all. She kept his picture and sealed her thoughts also. She bided a farewell to Kartik again. She wanted to participate in the dance competition and earn money for Kairav’s future.
Kartik was the competition organizer. He was keeping the dance competition to boost Akshara dance academy. Akshara became a link between Kartik and Naira once again. He spoke to his manager and asked him to conduct two preliminary rounds in Delhi. He wanted the final round to be conducted in Udaipur. He missed Naira. Naira told her friend that she would head to Delhi and make Kairav’s future. She told about getting a job in the dance academy as well. She was ready to do anything to secure Kairav. Bhabhimaa found Vedika crying and missing her dad. Vedika didn’t know who would do her Kanyadaan. Bhabhimaa consoled her aKnd told her that she would be doing her Kanyadaan. She bonded with Vedika. Kartik felt everyone was moving on and it was time he also moved on. Naira joined the academy as a dance teacher. She cried remembering Kartik.
