The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Ranvir thinking he asked Sirat to return the necklace, then why Sirat did not return it. Ranvir leaves. Kartik says the necklace looks good on her. He says things go to those who value them. Sirat smiles. Kartik says now they should go into the hall as others have taken lots of efforts to prepare for their Pagphere rasam. Sirat goes to Ranvir. She asks Ranvir why he is upset. Ranvir asks Sirat why she did not return the necklace. Sirat says she tried to return the necklace but Kartik did not take it. Ranvir argues with Sirat. Sirat says she respects Kartik and so she did not say anything ahead. Ranvir says even he respects Kartik, but now Sirat is his wife and their decision should be one.
Ranvir asks Sirat to return the necklace. Sirat says if she returns the necklace Kartik will feel bad. Ranvir asks Sirat not to accept such expensive gifts from anyone. They hug each other.
Goenka’s play a word game. Ranvir and Sirat join them. Kairav says a fight, Kartik says Sirat, Ranvir says wife, Kartik says loneliness. Kartik gets upset and leaves saying he will check the sweets boxes. Sirat tells Ranvir that she will talk to Kartik. Sirat goes to Kartik. Kartik is looking at Naira’s picture. Sirat takes Naira’s picture and talks to her in her mind. Kartik asks her what she is doing. Sirat says she is talking to Naira. Nani asks Sirat to come for her rasam.
Sirat and Ranvir start their rasam. Kartik supports Ranvir and others support Sirat. Ranvir finds the ring from the water and wins. Sirat says she will not talk to Kartik and he flipped and supported Ranvir.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chauhan talks on the call. He says that his son is dead for him. Saroj recollects meeting Ranvir. She faints and falls from the stairs. Kartik asks what he can do to cover his mistake. Sirat asks Kartik to get married. Kartik smiles and asks Sirat not to joke. Sirat says she is not joking and wants Kartik to get married so that he won’t feel lonely. Sirat asks Kartik to make a promise.
Kartik promises Sirat that he will soon get married. He says that he will marry someone if he likes the girl. Kartik thinks that he made a promise and kept a condition as he knows that he will never like any girl except Naira. Sirat says she will find a life partner for Kartik.
Nidhi calls Ranvir and informs him that Saroj fell from the stairs. Ranvir gets shocked. Sirat asks him what happened. Ranvir says his mother fell off the stairs and was taken to the hospital.
