The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Sirat and Ranvir returning home. Sirat gets shocked to see Kartik and his family. Nidhi asks Sirat if she liked the surprise. Suwarna asks Nidhi if Sirat did not know that they are coming. Nidhi says it was Saroj’s plan. Kartik says he was thinking how Sirat did not call him to ask where they reached. Kairav hugs Sirat and tells Kartik that Sirat is still in shock. Saroj asks Sirat to meet everyone. Sirat takes Manish and Suwarna’s blessings. She ignores Kartik, she goes to Nani and hugs her. Nani asks if she is okay. Sirat says she is fine. Sirat takes Kairav into her room. She tells Kairav that Ranvir has designed the room according to her choice. Kairav asks where is her punching bag. Sirat says it is in a different room.
Kartik comes there and tells Kairav that Suwarna is calling him. Kartik tells Sirat that she should have shared her problems with him, as he is her good friend. Kartik says Nani told him everything. Sirat worries and thinks if Nani told Kartik about their yesterday’s conversation. Sirat tries to explain. Kartik says Sirat can share with him if she is facing problems adjusting to her Sasural. Kartik says she should talk about it with Ranvir, he will understand her. Sirat says she is happy with Ranvir and is not having any problems. Mr. Chauhan comes there and says if they have something private to take, they can or they can join everyone at the dinner table. Kartik says they were having a friendly conversation. Kartik says he has a gift for Sirat.
Kartik comes into the living room and gives a frame to Sirat in which he laminated Sirat’s interview. Saroj asks Kartik to join his family and have dinner. Kartik says Saroj made all his favourite dishes. Nidhi says it was her and Mr. Chauhan’s idea. She says that Sirat knows Kartik’s choice very well. Kartik says he can eat anything whatever is cooked. Mr. Chauhan says there is a difference between getting something else and getting what you like.
Mr. Chauhan says Sirat was going to marry Kartik, but then she met Ranvir and realized about the past things. Mr. Chauhan says he wants to know how Sirat was ready to move on with Kartik when she loved Ranvir. Sirat imagines throwing water on Mr. Chauhan. She says Kartik is the person who always understood her problems without telling him and supported her. Sirat says she did not know when her friendship turned into love.
Kartik asks Sirat what is she thinkin about. Sirat realizes that it was just a dream. Sirat cannot say anything and leaves. Ranvir says Sirat cannot answer as she is thinking about her family’s reputation, but he has no relation with Mr. Chauhan so he can answer all the questions. Ranvir says nobody has the right to question Sirat about her past. Sirat and Kartik know what was between them, but now Sirat is his wife. Ranvir says Mr. Chauhan did not even think before insulting his daughter-in-law in front of others. Mr. Chauhan apologizes in front of Sirat. He thinks that he has put a spark and soon there will be a blast.
Kartik asks Suwarna and Manish to go home with everyone. Kartik goes to Sirat. Sirat worries.
