The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik joining the evil eye protector. Naira comes and talks to him. Kartik says he is so lonely, he has his family around him, yet he is lonely. Naira says if there is someone written in Kartik’s life, that person will surely come and Kartik will not be able to stop that person. Kartik says he will never be able to replace Naira. Naira says Kartik will have to move on, it’s for his better.
The next morning, Sirat is practicing boxing. Ranvir coughs and sees blood on his handkerchief. He calls the doctor and asks if his reports have come. The doctor says Ranvir’s reports have come and the reports are not good. Ranvir asks what is the problem. The doctor says the bullet which was into his heart has spread poison into his body and there are very few chances for Ranvir to survive. Ranvir stands shocked. He looks at Sirat and worries. Ranvir leaves.
Kartik is doing Kairav’s project. He asks Kairav why he kept the project at the last moment. Kairav says it is Kisha’s project. Sirat calls Kartik and asks him where is Ranvir. Kartik says Ranvir is not with him. Sirat worries for Ranvir. Kartik leaves for work. He sees Ranvir running on the road.
Kartik runs behind Ranvir and stops him. Kartik asks what is wrong with Ranvir. Ranvir says he is dying. Kartik asks Ranvir not to joke. Ranvir coughs and shows blood on his hand. Kartik asks what is wrong with him. Ranvir says the bullet in his chest has spread the poison which cannot be taken out.
Kartik asks if Sirat knows about it. Ranvir says no. Ranvir says Sirat should not know everything about it, or she will lose her mind. Kartik asks Ranvir not to lose hope, he will always be there for him. Ranvir washes his face and leaves.
Sirat cooks food for Ranvir. Saroj tastes it and says Sirat can cook well. Ranvir returns home and hugs Sirat. Sirat says she was worried for him. Ranvir looks at Sirat and thinks that their relationship is still here and he is not going away. Sirat asks Ranvir to come and have food.
