The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Sirat getting Ranvir to the hospital. The doctor takes Ranvir to the emergency room. Kartik comes and thinks if Ranvir would have told Sirat or not. The doctor comes out. Sirat asks the doctor what is wrong with Ranvir. The doctor says this had to happen, he even mentioned to Kartik that Ranvir will get critical as the poison will spread. The doctor says Ranvir has very little time left. Sirat gets shattered. She holds Kartik and asks Kartik if he is her friend then how can he hide such an important thing from her. Kartik tells Sirat that now Ranvir needs her, Sirat can get angry with him some other time. Sirat goes to meet Ranvir.
Ranvir gains consciousness and apologizes to Sirat. Saroj and Chauhan learn about Ranvir and cry. Sirat tells Ranvir that she lacked in her pooja and so God is punishing her. Kartik asks God why he is being so cruel to Sirat and Ranvir. Kartik says he lost his life partner and knows the pain. Kartik prays to God to do some miracles and save Ranvir. Sirat says she will not let Ranvir go away from her.
Sirat goes to the doctor and asks him to call any special doctor and save Ranvir. The doctor says they can do an operation and keep Ranvir alive, but Ranvir will go into a coma and will be like a dead body. Sirat asks the doctor to do the operation. Sirat tells Kartik that she agreed to Ranvir’s operation.
Kartik explains to Sirat that Ranvir knew about the operation but he denied it as he wants to live the rest of his days happily with Sirat and his family, not in pain for the rest of his life. Kartik asks Sirat to think again. They go to meet Ranvir. Chauhan says Ranvir is in this condition due to Sirat and Kartik. Ranvir asks Chauhan not to blame Sirat and Kartik.
Sirat cries. She sees a mother talking to a nurse. The mother says he wants her daughter to be happy for the days she has. Sirat decides that she will keep Ranvir happy for the little days he has. She tells Kartik about it. Sirat and Kartik say they should take Ranvir home.
