The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik and Sirat getting Ranvir back home. Saroj and Chauhan get emotional and hug him. Nidhi does Ranvir’s pooja and cries. Ranvir rests on Saroj’s lap and looks at a tree from the window. Ranvir says his life will also shed away like the leaves of the tree that are shedding. Kartik plays Sirat’s boxing match on the TV. Ranvir gets glad to see Sirat winning the match. Ranvir coughs. Sirat asks Ranvir to sleep and take a rest. Sirat cries at the thought of losing Ranvir. The next day, Sirat does Ranvir’s arti. Ranvir gives her the file and says from today all his business belongs to her. Ranvir says it’s not about the companies but they cannot shut SSC because all the dreams of other girls to become like Sirat wil break. Kartik comes there. Ranvir says Sirat can handle all the outsiders, but she has to fight at home also. Ranvir says he doesn’t know how Chauhan will behave with her, so he has called Kartik to be with her. Kartik interrupts and asks Ranvir not to exert. Sirat goes to get water.
Ranvir asks Kartik if he made a decision. Kartik says Sirat belongs to Ranvir. Kartik says he can be Sirat’s friend and support her. Kartik goes into the washroom and washes his face. Ranvir looks at the tree and sees the leaves shedding.
Chauhan comes and says that he prayed a lot to get Ranvir back and now when he got Ranvir back, Sirat and Kartik took Ranvir away from him. Ranvir says Sirat and Kartik did not do anything. He says he is dying due to the bullet which Chauhan asked his goon to shoot. Ranvir says Chauhan is the reason he is dying. Chauhan gets angry and says he will punish Sirat and Kartik for their deeds.
Days pass, Sirat and Kartik take care of Ranvir and make him enjoy his last days. Sirat sleeps near Ranvir’s legs. Ranvir starts coughing. He sees that only one leaf is there on the tree. He wakes Sirat. Kartik says he will call the doctor. Ranvir holds Sirat and Kartik’s hand and says it’s his last wish, he wants Sirat and Kartik to become one after he is gone. Ranvir sees the last leaf shedding and he also stops breathing. Sirat shouts, Ranvir.
Chauhan, Saroj and Nidhi come and get shocked to learn that Ranvir is no more. Kartik calls Manish and informs him about it and asks not to let Kairav know about it. Manish agrees.
