The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik consoling Sirat. Chauhan looks at Sirat in anger. Suwarna asks Manish what did Kartik say. Manish hesitates. Suwarna asks Manish to says what Kartik said. Manish says, Ranvir. Nani worries and asks if Ranvir is not well and they took him to the hospital. Manish says Ranvir is no more. Everyone stands shocked. Manish says Ranvir was very sick and he did not want anyone to know, so Kartik did not inform them. Nani breaks down. Kairav and Vansh cry. Kairav says God is taking away all his favorite people, First, he took Naira and now Ranvir. Suwarna worries about Sirat.
The same morning, everyone gathers for Ranvir’s mourning ceremony. Kartik and Sirat look at each other and recollect Ranvir’s last wish. Saroj coughs. Kartik takes water for her. Sirat takes the glass and asks Saroj to have some water. Saroj looks ats Sirat-Kartik and slaps her. Everyone gets shocked. Kartik is about to go to Saroj but Manish stops him. Nani helps Sirat stand. Saroj says Sirat killed Ranvir and from the time Sirat had come in Ranvir’s life, he did not live in peace, First, he left his father, and now her left the world. Sirat asks Saroj not to say such.
Saroj says Chauhan warned her but she did not pay attention. She says Sirat and Kartik’s dirty intention killed Ranvir. Kartik explains to Saroj that Ranvir loved her and he can understand the pain that a mother is going through, but she cannot accuse Sirat for anything. Saroj says she knows about Kartik and Sirat’s dirty intentions and doesn’t want Sirat to live with them.
Kartik says he will take a leave, as he doesn’t want to worsen the situation. Kartik asks Sirat to come with her, as there is no one to understand her. Sirat thanks Kartik for thinking about her. She says it’s her family matter and she will solve it. Sirat says Saroj does not know what she is talking about and is in pain. Kartik leaves with his family.
They return home. Manish says before, only Chauhan used to talk bad, but now even Saroj is talking in the same tone. Manish says Chauhan and his wife put false accusations on Kartik and spoiled their name. Manish says he wants Kartik not to talk to Sirat from now on.
Meanwhile, Sirat gets food for Saroj and explains to her that she knows Ranvir loved her a lot. Sirat sees the toy and says that Ranvir used to hold the toys when he used to miss them. She says that she was Saroj’s bahu, but now she will stay with them as their daughter. Saroj asks Sirat to keep the food and leave.
Kartik tells them he promised Ranvir that he will never leave Sirat alone. Manish asks for one promise that Kartik will never let go of their respect. Kartik promises Manish that nothing will happen to their family’s respect.
