The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik asking can he come inside. Kartik says he is Simran’s college friend Raj. Sirat goes to him and worries. Kartik says in college they used to ask Simran to eat almonds so that she will remember everyone. Kartik asks her if she remembers him. Sirat tries to explain uncle and aunty. Aunty says they don’t have any problem with Raj coming to meet her. Sirat says she does not want to meet. Kartik says he wants to meet, so he has come and Sirat cannot avoid him. Kartik apologises to uncle and aunty as he has come without informing them. Uncle asks Kartik to join them as it’s their anniversary. Kartik agrees.
Uncle and aunty cut the cake and feed each other. Aunty asks Sirat to give the cake to her friend. Sirat serves Kartik the cake. Kartik feeds Sirat the cake. The aunty enquiries about Kartik. Kartik says he is back from London, he had to go through a lot in the last few months back. The Aunty says Simran also shifted there 6 months back. The uncle says Simran studied in girls college then how Raj met her. Kartik says Sirat’s college was beside his college and they met at a momo stall which is outside their college.
Kartik says Simran’s friend was his friend too, so she introduced Simran. The aunty says when Simran met them, they thought she is heartbroken. She asks Kartik if they were dating and not broke up. Kartik says they are just friends. Sirat says Raj should leave now as it is getting dark. The uncle asks Kartik to wait with them for a night. They take Kartik to their son’s room and say this is their son’s room, who gave his life for the country.
The uncle asks Kartik to stay in his son’s room. Kartik thanks him. They leave. Sirat asks Kartik why he has come there. Kartik asks Sirat why she missed the hearing. Sirat says she will not miss the 3rd hearing and asks Kartik not to be with her. Kartik says he has come not only for the court hearing sake but has something more to do.
