The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Sirat meeting Akshara. She goes near Kairav. Kairav is sleeping, so she says that she has to leave without waking him as if Kairav wakes then she won’t be able to leave. Sirat says when Kairav will miss him then he can call her name and she will be there for him. Kairav talks in his dream and prays to God that Sirat and Kartik’s fake marriage should become real marriage. Dadi gets emotional and leaves. Sirat comes to Manish and apologises for being rude to him. She apologises to Dadi as she had to make the wrong decision and returns the mangalsutra. Suwarna gifts a family picture to Sirat. Sirat takes everyone’s blessings and leaves. Kartik helps Sirat to carry her bag to the taxi. Kartik thinks Sirat should stay with his family. Sirat thinks she wants to stay with Kartik but has to go as she doesn’t want to be a trouble to them. Sirat leaves.
Kairav cries and comes down. Kartik holds Kairav. Kairav says he wanted to be with Sirat. Kartik says Sirat had to leave. Kairav says he could have convinced Sirat to stay with them. Kairav starts coughing. Kairav says Naira left him and now even Sirat left him. He says nobody loves him and coughs. Kartik goes to get water for Kairav and falls. Sirat wakes up from her sleep and realises that it was just a dream. She worries and thinks if Kartik and Kairav are okay.
Kairav comes to Kartik and says if he misses Sirat then he can call her back. Kartik says they cannot emotionally blackmail Sirat. He says Sirat will come back to them when she will realise what she feels for them. Kairav sees Sirat coming and gets happy. Sirat comes and asks Kartik and Kairav if they are okay. She says she got a bad dream, so she was worried about them. Dadi says Kartik and Kairav are fine and his family is there to take care of him. Kartik asks Sirat to not come back all the way to them from Jaisalmer, she can call him and ask about his health.
Sirat waits for Kartik to stop her but Kartik says Sirat can go now. Sirat leaves. Goenkas tell Kartik that Sirat wanted to stay but Kartik did not stop her. They ask Kartik to go and stop her. Kartik goes in a drive’s disguise and gets into the taxi. Sirat asks him to start the car. Sirat talks to herself. She says she came all the way to meet Kartik and he did not stop her. Sirat thinks before Kartik was trying to stop but she did not and now is hoping that Kartik should stop her. Kartik changes his voice and talks to Sirat.
Sirat tells him that Kartik likes and wants to live with her. Kartik asks her then why she is leaving and questions her if she doesn’t love him. Sirat cries. Kartik says it is Sirat’s mistake that she is leaving. Sirat says Kartik should understand her and read her mind too. Kartik says driver says that Kartik is not a good man. Sirat asks the driver not to talk anything about Kartik. Kartik starts flirting with her. Sirat stops the car and throws her bag at him.
Sirat realises that she was talking to Kartik for so long. Kartik asks Sirat why she rejected him. Sirat says she doesn’t want Kartik or his family to fall into trouble because of her. Sirat says people will taunt them and family members will also get upset with them. Kartik says leaving is not the solution, as the problem can come anytime. Sirat says she didn’t feel like leaving as she doesn’t know what she will do without Kartik. Sirat says she couldn’t go and have come back to Kartik.
