The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Sirat saving Kairav from falling. Kartik thanks Sirat. She says he is my son too. Kartik says he is thanking her for coming into their lives and reducing their loneliness. He says my children had all the relations except a mother and they got that now. Suwarna brings that last cupcake. Kartik and Kairav both say they want it. Gayu tells them whoever will pick the cupcake first will win it. Both Kartik and Kairav pick it and start arguing. Vansh says Sirat will decide who gets the cupcake. Sirat says Kairav, Kartik says it’s partiality. Sirat asks what, he says it’s a good decision. She checks the meaning of partiality. Kartik says it’s taking one person’s side. Sirat says she takes the children’s side. Kartik asks if she loves Kairav more than him. She says she got all this because of Kairav and loves them both.
In the morning the family members are preparing for Ganesh Chaturthi. Sirat asks if she can make Ganesh Idol. Dadi agrees and tells her to hurry. The kids come and say they won’t go to school today as they have to welcome Bappa. Gayu tells them to not miss class. Manish says let the kids enjoy. Kartik says fine but only for one day. Sirat says they will go to school as their exams are approaching. She says they should only take leave when they are sick or have urgent work. Sirat tells Katik that she didn’t complete her education, so doesn’t want the kids to miss anything. Kartik thanks her for saving him from the guilt and kisses her.
Sirat prepares Ganesh Idol and colours it. She prays to God to support them. Suddenly smoke comes, she sees a baby and wonders who it is. She takes the baby closer and says it’s not Akshu or Vatsal, who is this. Kairav asks why she is calling him baby. Sirat opens her eyes and sees it’s Kairav. Sirat asks how he came home early. Vansh says there was a problem with the powerline, so they had half day. Kartik comes and asks how they are home so soon. Kairav says they had half day. Sirat says the school should have informed them that they are closing the school early. Kartik says he will call the teacher and talk to her. Vansh and Kairav get worried.
Dadi sees the idol and asks Sirat how she made Bal Ganesh. Sirat says it happened on its own. Dadi says it’s beautiful and tells her to draw rangoli as well. Surekha tells Dadi she does not know if Sirat will draw rangoli properly. Dadi tells her to not provoke her against Sirat as she made a beautiful Ganesh Idol and will make beautiful rangoli as well. They see the beautiful rangoli, Surekha says Sirat told Gayu that she can’t make rangoli. Sirat says that God blessed her. Kartik says Lord sent his assistant to help her. Sirat recalling Kartik helping her make rangoli.
