The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kartik asking Sirat over the call if she is fine. Sirat says yes there was something wrong with her phone. Kartik tells her that her coach informed him about her first round in the international championship. The doctor comes from behind saying she left her reports. Kartik asks what reports. Sirat says they all had their regular tests done today. He tells her to come home soon. Sirat thinks if she has her child will she become a stepmom. Kartik comes home and mentions that Arun’s wife said his family is complete. Kartik says it’s right as his family is complete with a son, daughter, a lovely wife and two cute kids. He says he doesn’t need anything else. Sirat thinks maybe Kartik doesn’t want a child. She wonders if he will be happy with the news.
Gayu is with Vatsal trying to calm him when Vansh comes asking for help with homework. She scolds Vansh, Suwarna tells her to explain it to him with love. Sirat says she will take care of Vatsal and tells Gayu to go after Vansh. Kartik asks Sirat about her practice. He offers to drop her but she says she will come later. The coach asks about Sirat. Kartik says she will be coming soon. He asks about the blood test. Kartik says the reports are normal and Sirat said she filled the form. The coach says they haven’t filled the form yet. Kartik wonders why Sirat lied and goes to the doctor to check.
Kartik comes back angry. Sirat asks what is wrong and why he looks angry. Kartik says when a person who you trust hides something won’t he get angry. Sirat asks who did this to him. He says she is the one who is hiding the truth from him. Sirat says she wanted to tell him but was scared. Kartik says he was scared thinking she is not well, so went to the doctor to check but the doctor had left. He asks to tell the truth about the reports. She says it’s just vitamin deficiency and the coach doesn’t know about the form as he was not there when she filled it. Kartik hugs her and says sorry for doubting her. He shows an edited picture of her and says this is their perfect family picture. She wonders how to tell him that the picture will change.
The doctor informs Sirat that she should stop drinking protein shakes as it’s not good for the baby. Kartik comes with a protein shake and tells her she needs to drink two times daily. Sirat pours the drink in the flower pot which Surekha sees. Surekha informs Suwarna. Sirat is looking at the reports, Suwarna comes in. Sirat hides the report in Kartik’s laptop bag. Suwarna tells her she doesn’t want to interfere in their personal matter but noticed that Kartik was angry and she even threw her protein shake. She asks if they fought over something. Suwarna says Sirat can talk to her if something is troubling her. Kartik leaves with his laptop bag.
