The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Gayu asking if the news is confirmed this time, Kartik says yes. Kairav asks why she asked such a question as he is sure the baby is coming. He says he has even told his classmates that he will become a super big brother. Kartik says God never breaks children’s hope. Dadi says she knew Ganpati Bappa would bring happiness back in their house. Kairav says they should welcome the baby. Kartik gives baby is coming and gives t-shirts to everyone and they all dance. In the morning Kartik wakes up and sees Sirat. He asks if she is not feeling well. She says she is sleepy but doesn’t know how to sleep. He tells her to sleep as she usually sleeps. Sirat says she can’t sleep in any wrong position or else the baby will move somewhere else. Kartik says she is cute but also foolish. He tells her to not worry as nothing as such will happen.
Kartik makes fun of Sirat for saying that. She throws a cushion on him, saying she is pregnant for the first time. He says sorry and says if a mood swing happens for her she might throw something else instead of a cushion next time. He informs her that she has to go to boxing club today, her coach has messaged. However, Sirat refuses saying she wants to focus on the baby and not take any risks. Suwarna says we will make fruit laddoo for Sirat. Sirat comes downstairs, saying she is going out to get some books about pregnancy. They stop her saying she can ask them whatever she wants to know but not get the book.
Sirat asks why. Dadi says Katik read all the books during Akshu’s time and put a lot of restrictions on Naira. What to eat, what not to eat, what is good for the baby and what is not. Suwarna says she can ask them anything. Kartik says he has many books he can give them to her. He says he has become very chilled now. He gives her milk and tells her to drink. Alarm rings, Sirat says it is time for her to drink water and take multivitamins. After a while, the alarm rings again. Sirat says the doctor has told her to do yoga on time. Suwarna says she doesn’t have to put alarm as they are here to remind her about all this. Kartik says they won’t let her forget anything. Sirat feeds Akshu, food falls on Akshu’s clothes.
Sirat goes to get clothes for Akshu when she remembers Kairav’s words. She says she will keep Akshu’s clothes for the baby. She hopes that kids always stay together. Akshu bends down the pram, Sirat sees this when she turns. Suwarna and Kartik come to the room and shout Akshu. Sirat throws a blanket down, Akshu falls over it. Sirat runs towards her and stumbles, Kartik shouts Sirat. Sirat hugs Akshu. Kartik tells Sirat that she scared them. Suwarna tells her to be careful as the first three months are critical and needs to be careful. She tells Sirat they will take care of Akshu while she should take care of the coming baby. Sirat says she won’t have anything to do and will get bored. Kartik says she should keep herself entertained by talking with Akshu.
