The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Manish telling Kartik to come back for labour. Kartik tells Kairav to take care of Sirat, Akshu and the coming baby. Kartik tells Sirat to take care and he leaves. Later Kartik is busy in a meeting. He decides to call home but there is no network. Dadi says she is going to the temple, she tells Sirat to touch the chadava. Sirat touches and says Gayu told her she has kept pooja for the baby. Dadi says yes, she will attend the pooja and leave Suwarna and Gayu home. Sirat says there is no need as they aren’t going very far. Kairav says he will take care of Sirat. Dadi says Kairav is just like Kartik. She asks Sirat to call them if she starts feeling anxious. Sirat and Kairav play songs and dance in the house. Sirat starts feeling pain. She sits and calls Kairav. Karirav comes and asks what happened.
Sirat tells Kairav to call Kartik, Kairav tries to call but there’s no network. She then tells him to call Dadi. At the temple, Dadi tells Suwarna and Gayu to keep their phones inside or else they will get stolen. Kairav tells Sirat they aren’t answering. Sirat calls Dr Seema informing her that she is having labour pain. The Doctor tells her not to worry and asks her to come to the hospital. Sirat says she can’t come as she is alone with the kids. She asks the doctor to come home and check instead. The doctor says she can come but the hospital has all facilities that can be handy if she comesover. Sirat says okay she will come. She tells Kairav that they will have to go to the hospital. Kairav asks if something will happen to his sister. Sirat tells him to be strong.
Kairav says their driver uncle is not here. Sirat goes to call a cab or auto. Kairav prays, their driver comes back. Sirat asks him where is Dadi and others, he says they are still at the temple. Sirat tells the driver to take them to the hospital. Sirat tries calling Kartik but he is busy in a meeting. Akshu starts to cry, Sirat says they have forgotten her milk bottle, so tells the driver to turn back home. Kairav says he will feed Akshu biscuits. The car tyre gets punctured. Driver says there is no stepney. Sirat says they will go on foot, he tells her to wait as he will arrange something.
Kairav sings poems to divert Sirat’s attention from pain. He gives Sirat juice and says he will check on the driver uncle. The driver says he has managed to get a lift and puts Kairav and Sirat in the car. They reach the hospital, the nurse takes Akshu and tells Sirat to wait for few minutes. Sirat says she can’t wait any longer. The doctor checks Sirat and tells her to not worry. She says premature delivery happens in seven months and they need to get her husband’s signature. The doctor says they will try for normal delivery but there might be a need for a caesarean too.
