The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Kairav helping Sirat and Kartik. They smile and take family selfies. Dadi comes home and informs them that the pandit will come soon. She asks if the food is ready for annprashan. Suwarna says yes. Surekha says Sirat has to make kheer but not sure if she will be able to do it. Suwarna tells her not to taunt Sirat over the past mistake. Dadi says Sirat takes care of three children, Surekha was not able to take care of Lav and Kush. So she should stop insulting Sirat and start praising her. Sirat gets Akshu ready and applies a black tika on her. Aarohi cries, so Sirat says she will apply for her as well. Kairav comes and shows Sheetal’s boxing fight on TV to Sirat. She says Sheetal forgot all the moves in the ring. Kairav informs that Sheetal lost. Sirat says she was using the wrong technique. Sirat punches Kartik by mistake and she apologises. She advises him to wear a helmet as it happens often. Kartik tells her to punch in the ring and not punch him. He tells her to focus on boxing, Sirat says she needs to focus on her children. She remembers that she has to make kheer and rushes out.
They all go out for the Annprashan rituals. Dadi tells Suwarna and Surekha to put all the puja items in one place as pandit will come. Students from Sirat’s academy come. She greets them and asks if anyone talked with Sheetal. She says she lost the match but they won’t let her lose courage. The girl mentions that Sheetal is disappointed by this. Sirat says she saw her match and that she made many mistakes. The girls tell Sirat she should come back to boxing for Asian Championship. Sirat tries changing the topic. The girls explain that Asian Championship comes once in four years and since this is Sirat’s goal she shouldn’t let this chance go.
Kartik asks Sirat if she talked with the girls. Sirat says no. He tells her to go and talk with them. Sirat says the pooja has started. Pandit tells Kartik to feed the first bite to Aarohi. Kairav says he thought a brother would do this. Sirat says Kairav also has a right to do this as an elder brother. Both Kartik and Kairav feed kheer to Aarohi. Sirat says they will feed Akshu also and not forget her. Dadi says a good mother never differentiates between her children. Kartik says it is their responsibility to love all the kids equally. Akshu and Aarohi are girls and their relationship will be affected if they differentiate between them. Dadi explains the rituals. Kairav adds things to the toys plate.
Dadi asks Aarohi to choose something, Aarohi takes a diary and a pen. Kartik says it means Aarohi is smart as she wants education and money. Sirat tells Akshu to choose, she chooses a music player. Sirat says music calms Akshu. Later Sirat tells Kartik that their children have got so many gifts. Kartik says he has got a gift for her as well. He shows her the Asian Championship form and tells her to sign it. She asks how did he come to know. Kartik asks if she thought he won’t know if she didn’t tell him. Sirat says Akshu and Aarohi need her. He says she can go and come back after the match. Sirat says she won’t be able to manage. Kartik says they need a mother at every age but that doesn’t mean that mother has to forget her dreams.
