In today’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai episode, Akshara practices singing. Maya loses her cool on Akshara for drinking apple juice. She asks her to stop being careless despite knowing that the finale is near. Akshara drinks again and asks Maya to relax as she is having fenugreek water and it is not harmful. She adds her commitment is important and she will not back out without making it to the finale. Akshara says she is doing big things for them and in return she just expects them to respect what she is doing for them. Maya and Kunal apologize to Akshara. Kunal apologises to Akshara. Akshara asks Kunal what he is apologizing for as his sorry list is long. She further asks Maya to get ready for the finale.
Then in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kunal thinks he needs to apologize to Akshara for not letting her meet Abhimanyu. He thinks Abhimanyu has already checked out from the hotel. Maya gets nervous before entering the stage. Kunal wished luck to Maya. Akshara says she too needs luck. Maya wished good luck to Akshara. Maya attends the crowd wearing a mask. Akshara sings a Lag Ja Gale song. Abhimanyu hears her voice on the radio. Akshara and Abhimanyu dream about being with each other. Back to reality; Akshara sings a song. Abhimanyu turns back to meet Akshara. He takes the radio to confirm the voice. Boys out there ask Abhimanyu to return the radio.
Later in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhimanyu gets irked. He hears the voice and says he can’t forget Akshara’s voice. Abhimanyu goes back to the event to look for Akshara. The audience out there cheers for Maya. Akshara leaves the place. Abhimanyu enters the place and looks for Akshara. Akshara thought it was Abhimanyu and her dream to sing on stage. She says today she felt different. A contestant out there asks Akshara about her existence. Akshara asks whose performance he liked the most. The boy says Lag ja gale. Akshara gets elated. Kunal and Maya take Akshara with them. Abhimanyu looks for Akshara. He learned there is no contestant named Akshara. Akshara leaves in a car.
Lastly in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhimanyu chases Akshara’s car but fails to see her. Akshara feels Abhimanyu’s presence. Maya gets emotional. Kunal asks Maya what’s wrong with her. Akshara explains when dreams come true, eyes well up. Maya says she has always dreamt to become a star and today she felt elated getting all the attention. She adds she wants to live such a moment forever. Kunal hugs Maya. Akshara asks Maya not to get dependent on her so much. Kunal thinks about how he will stop Akshara from leaving post the event. Abhimanyu reaches the hotel to look for Akshara. The guards throw him out. Abhimanyu gets determined to find Akshara.
